A CORONATION Street favourite is having a miserable Christmas – and it will be revealed that she has been KIDNAPPED in a secret plot.
The ITV soap isn’t giving the character any festive cheer this year as her ordeal will be revealed to viewers on Christmas Day.
The Sun can reveal that Carla Connor was secretly snatched by ex-girlfriend Lisa Swain’s deranged wife Becky earlier this month.
Viewers know that Carla has been pushed to the brink by Becky’s increasing level of interference in her relationship with Lisa.
Earlier this month Carla ended their relationship after realising that Lisa would never believe her over Becky if it meant there was a chance Becky could die again.
Becky has been manipulating Lisa and daughter Betsy, determined to convince them that life in Weatherfield is too dangerous so they should return to Spain with her to begin a new life.

But Carla has been a thorn in her side – and now The Sun can reveal that Becky is determined to remove that thorn.
A source said: “Viewers know Becky is a little unhinged but just how unhinged has been a closely-guarded secret.
“Carla gave her the perfect opportunity to get everything she wanted by splitting with Lisa and deciding to spend Christmas in Lanzarote.
“But after one clash too many, Becky decided to take action and lost it completely.
“Carla’s been trapped for weeks with no hope of surviving as Becky becomes increasingly unstable. It’s definitely not a merry Christmas for Carla.”
Carla’s plight will be revealed to fans in a bombshell on Christmas Day.
But it won’t all be bad news on the cobbles as a year to the day of her leaving, Gail Platt is set to make an appearance to wish her family well.
