If you’re craving Chicken McNuggets over a roast turkey with all the trimmings this Christmastime, you need to know if your local McDonald’s is open.
Here’s all of the information required so you can scran down your favourite seasonal ‘McSandwich’ on the big day, either in-store or via McDelivery.

When is McDonald’s open over Christmas and Boxing Day?
McDonald’s operates more than 1,400 restaurants across the UK, with roughly 80 per cent franchised, meaning they decide their own opening hours.
Most of the fast food chain’s locations in the UK will be open on Christmas Eve, but many with reduced hours.
It’s very likely that your local McDonald’s will remain closed on Christmas Day, although a small number of sites are staying open – some even for almost 24 hours from 5am.
The McDonald’s website explains: “Only a handful of McDonald’s restaurants open on Christmas Day.”

Boxing Day sees most locations reopen, a great many at their normal times, though some may start serving later and close earlier.
McDonald’s stores will resume usual trading patterns after December 26, heading into the New Year.
However, customers are encouraged to check locally using the chain’s restaurant locator as franchisees set their own hours and may operate slightly different schedules based on demand.
Can I get McDelivery over Christmas and Boxing Day
McDelivery generally operates when participating restaurants are open, with available times matching the outlets’ business hours.
On Christmas Eve, delivery will remain available during each location’s opening hours.
However, for Christmas Day, whether McDelivery is available depends entirely on each of the few open stores’ decisions, as well as delivery partner availability in the area.
On Boxing Day, McDelivery resumes widely as most restaurants return to standard operations.
It is a good idea to verify via the McDonald’s app, website or restaurant locator for real-time updates.
