And now, it appears that he’s there for the long haul as a new series is thought to be in pre-production, with filming set to begin in 2026, reports TV Zone.

Inside The Factory has been a firm favourite with viewers after it made its debut on BBC Three since 2015.

From millions of chocolates wrapped at lightning speed to the mind-blowing process behind cheese curls and sausage rolls, the hit series is celebrating the UK’s manufacturing magic once more.

And in January, a new series, which has already been filmed, will hit screens, with more to come in the future.

It was confirmed that Paddy had replaced Gregg Wallace on the show last year.

Gregg, 60, had worked on the show for nine years but faced controversy.

The Sun was told that Gregg was reported to BBC bosses after he was accused of taking his top off and boasting about his sex life to a woman on the show Impossible Celebrities in 2018.

Gregg stepped back from co-hosting Masterchef after complaints about inappropriate behaviour over a number of years.

But he bitterly said the allegations come from a “handful of middle-class women of a certain age”.

He commented on the situation during an appearance on Good Morning Britain at the time, claiming that the reports “weren’t accurate”.

Speaking to Richard Madeley and Kate Garraway, he explained: “I left. I have got a little boy called Sid who at the moment is non-verbal, he is still in nappies.

“He has got learning difficulties, I am an ambassador now for Ambitious about Autism, mum needed help there.

“There was an argument inside the factory, the reporting isn’t accurate. There was an issue, I thought that is the perfect time to come out. Offending people in the factory, no.”

He added: “There was an issue, I don’t want to discuss what the issue was but I thought that is a good time.”

Inside The Factory returns Tuesday 7th January at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
