A WOMAN has left the internet outraged after admitting to having to wrap her own Christmas presents.
Caroline Blythe revealed that she began wrapping her own gifts after she and her husband, Jarrett, 26, moved in together.
The 25-year-old said Jarrett sheepishly asked for help back in 2023 after admitting he’d never wrapped presents for friends or family before, instead relying on gift bags.
Caroline decided to take matters into her own hands and wrapped her gifts blindfolded, so she didn’t spoil the surprise while Jarrett was on hand to give her tape when needed.
In the video, Caroline can be seen with a sleep mask on as she wrapped the presents immaculately.
Jarrett, on the other hand, struggled and asked where to even place the tape, which Caroline could direct him on even without her eyesight.
The content creator says that by doing this, he gets to learn the art of gift wrapping while bonding with her.
After sharing a clip from 2023 online, Caroline faced backlash online, with some branding it a ‘red flag’ and even urging her to divorce him.
But Caroline insists it isn’t an obligation, and that Jarrett ‘usually figures out the rest’ after she wraps the first few presents.
Caroline, who lived in Tacoma, Washington, US, before moving to Germany six months ago, said: “It really just started because Jarrett said ‘I don’t know how to do this, can you help me?’
“So we sat down and he saw me wrap a few other presents for friends.
“When we had our first Christmas together, Jarrett said he’d never wrapped presents before.
“He just hadn’t had the chance to try it yet, it was his first time to properly learn. I don’t think he’d wrapped presents for family and friends […] he might’ve just used gift bags.
“He said he gets it and knows how to do it, it’s just pretty hard.
“I said ‘I think wrapping presents is pretty cool, why don’t we try and do it blindfolded?’
“So we tried it because we thought it’d be pretty funny. I usually don’t look at all, it’s just a box so it can be anything.

While Caroline said she didn’t have to wrap any of her own presents this year thanks to Jarrett opting to take on the role himself, some commentors were skeptical it was all a stunt.
One wrote: “What about you posting this? What’s the point of the blindfold if you can still see the gift.”
“Maybe because it’s obviously from another year,” Caroline responded to the comment.
“Wait taking a video of the whole process defeats the purpose, no? You have to watch the clip back at some point and figure out what present he got you,” another questioned.
Others said it was ridiculous he couldn;t wrap a gift if the stant was true, and claimed Caroline should divorce him.
One commented: “Thank god I’m single. But babes: divorce him.”
A second wrote: “It’s just a bit ridiculous, like he couldn’t find a video on YouTube and try to wrap a gift for his wife like it doesn’t take much effort honestly.”
Another added: “The problem is that she had to wrap her own present when he could just get a big Christmas bag for gifts or I don’t know, learn how to wrap a gift? It is not hard.”
Others defended the unique gift-wrapping practice.

Caroline said: “I got a bit annoyed about the comments because people didn’t give us a chance to explain anything. They just went straight to shaming.
“Everyone can have an opinion, that’s totally fair, but as soon as you start saying nasty comments, I’m just a girl that posts for fun.
“People thought he doesn’t know how to wrap it so I have to but it’s not an obligation.
“It’s just a fun tradition and we were bonding together, laughing about it and we were excited to see how it would turn out.”
