Chaos at wonderkid Charlie Manby’s game against Adam Sevada as players forget to leave stage after music blunder

Darts star Charlie Manby’s match against Adam Sevada saw a chaotic moment where the players forgot to leave the stage.

But it was not all smooth sailing on the Ally Pally stage.

There was a bizarre moment at the end of the second set where Sevada especially seemed to lose track of what was happening in the contest.

Manby had a two-leg lead as he looked to extend his set lead over his opponent.

And he managed to do exactly that with a 95 checkout, before turning to celebrate in front of the Ally Pally crowd.

But Sevada seemed unmoved by the finish, waiting for Manby to collect his darts before stepping back up to the oche himself and throwing.

In his defence, the music operators were equally slow on the draw, with Manby celebrating to the tune of silence.

The music eventually kicked in as Manby left the stage and Sevada gathered his things to follow.

It has been a tournament to remember for the Huddersfield native so far.

He opened his tournament as a huge underdog against world No26 Cameron Menzies.

But his 90.26 average was enough to stun the Scot and announce his arrival on the Worlds stage.

Menzies did not take the loss well, attacking the podium and injuring his hand.

He later apologised for his outburst on social media and cited emotional challenges outside of darts as the reason behind it.

Manby is now just the second player who does not hold a tour card to reach the third round, after Andreas Harrysson.

The victory means Manby will pocket at least £35,000 from his appearance at the event, and could make even more if he can stun fan-favourite Ricky Evans in the next round.
