Magic Morgan

Morgan Rogers proved to be the difference-maker against United with his stunning display.

What was most impressive is that he was able to do it despite having just 32 touches of the ball.

He showed great maturity by drifting into a central “corridor” to find space between United players.

His winning goal was a masterclass in composure.

The Red Devils failed to close him down and he curled his shot into the top corner.

Amorim’s ‘Magic 8-Ball’

Amorim surpised many with his “magic 8-ball” set up which featured three number eights in the starting XI.

These were Bruno Fernandes, Mason Mount, and Matheus Cunha paying in a line.

It did work to an extent as Villa’s services was stifled but the team was let down by defensive lapses.

Man Utd Target Lindelof

United face a familiar foe in the shape of Victor Lindelof who was lining up for Villa.

The Swede spent eight years at Old Trafford before being released by the club and moving on.

Lindelof was intentionally targeted by his former employers with Benjamin Sesko and Mount trying to drag him out of position.

Fight, Kamara, Action

Boubacar Kamara was one of Villa’s key men in the match against United.

He acted as the tactical tigger in the team in his “anchor” role in mdifield.

It was down to the Frenchman to signal to the other players when to press or sit back.

The former Marseille man ensured that Villa were combative and disciplined enough to see out the victory.
