The 3-0 win at Ally Pally set up a third round tie with Suljovic, who beat Joe Cullen in controversial circumstances during Sunday’s afternoon session.

The Austrian fell behind but masterfully disrupted the rhythm of the game before going on to mount an incredible comeback by winning three sets in a row.

A furious Cullen gave the 53-year-old a death stare as he walked off stage and later accused his opponent of “cheating” in a livid social media post, although Suljovic denied any wrongdoing against Rockstar.

However, Littler has now revealed that his third round opponent is also something of a prophet as well as a master of the dark arts.

Speaking to Sky Sports after beating 40-year-old Davies, Littler revealed a text message he received by Suljovic BEFORE the World Darts Championship had even started.

The Nuke said: “No-one knows this but when the tournament draw came out, Mensur messaged me.

“He said: ‘See you in round three.’

“Mensur, let’s have a good game.”

Littler confirmed he watched Suljovic’s win over compatriot Cullen earlier on, adding he thought he “played well”.

The World No1 also addressed a stunning moment against Davies which saw the NHS worker remarkably go to walk off stage DURING the match after Littler won his second leg in the opening set.

Littler added: “I am coming back after Christmas. I can go home and rest.

“I’m happy with it. Everyone is talking about the £1million, it’s there in front of you but going back-to-back is what I want.

“I was getting away with it. David missed 16 darts at the doubles. Every dart was crucial.

“If he had hit them, then it’s a different game. I am glad he missed and I got the job done.

“I enjoyed it tonight. It was a bit crazy in that first set.

“The crowd thought I had hit the 170 and then David thought I had won the set. I was lucky to win that set.”
