A TEENAGER allegedly plotted his own parents’ execution in a twisted ploy to get rich.
Darren Munoz, 19, from New Mexico, is accused of hiring friend Julio Zamora, 18, to murder his dad and step-mum in a chilling cash grab.

The boys were arrested on Monday after they allegedly carried out the aberrant double homicide of Oscar, 58, and Dina, 71.
Cops say Munoz spent “several weeks and months” plotting the killings, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by ABC7.
The teen reportedly wanted to “take over the parents’ belongings and finances,” the affidavit said.
Munoz allegedly believed his father owned the major Allsups convenience store franchise, which operates over 400 franchises across Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico.
The report said that the sick plan was for Zamora to sneak in through the garage and shoot Munoz’s parents while they slept.
A second friend was lined up to do the job if Zamora backed out.
At around 4.50am on December 15, police rushed to the family’s home in Clovis, more than 200 miles east of Albuquerque, after a call reporting a suspected burglary.
When officers arrived, Munoz was standing outside the open garage and bizarrely told them everything was fine.
Police said they needed to check on Oscar, 58, and Dina, 71, but Munoz tried to stop them, claiming his “parents slept naked”.
He eventually led an officer inside and told him to wait while he went into his parents’ bedroom.
Moments later, Munoz came back out with his hands “covered in blood”, according to the affidavit.
Both victims had been shot in the head.
Dina Munoz was pronounced dead at the scene, while Oscar was rushed to a hospital in Lubbock, but tragically lost his fight against the critical injuries.
When questioned by police, Munoz claimed he was woken by the garage door alarm and insisted he heard no gunshots.
“It made no sense that Munoz would hear the garage door alarm go off but not hear gunshots down the hall from him,” officers wrote.
“For Darren to have heard the garage door alarm, he would have had to be awake when the shooting occurred.”
Nothing had been stolen from the home and there were no signs of forced entry.
Munoz’s girlfriend later spoke to police and dropped bombshell details.
She told them that Munoz had been planning to trade an AR rifle for a ghost Glock or pistol.
Surveillance footage showed Munoz tucking a 9mm Glock into his waistband just 12 hours before his parents were killed.
She also told cops she was with Munoz and Zamora when they bought 9mm ammunition.
Zamora was later arrested outside his home with the 9mm Glock, which he admitted was the murder weapon.
He confessed that Munoz had asked him to kill his parents.
Munoz now faces two counts of first degree murder, conspiracy to commit first degree murder, and solicitation to commit first degree murder.
Zamora is charged with two counts of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
Oscar Munoz had worked as a supervisor at an Allsups store for nearly 24 years, according to his LinkedIn profile.
The Allsups brand is owned by convenience store operator Yesway, which is run by private equity firm Brookwood Financial Partners, LLC.
