Fans have absolutely adored White Collar, with the series currently possessing a 96% score on aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes.

Writing online, one fan penned: ‘Just rewatched the series finale of white collar and I do think it was the perfect ending. It couldn’t have gone any other way.’

Another added: ‘The series finale of White Collar is as perfect of an ended as you could have. Intense, brilliant, shocking, and just puts a grin on your face at the very end.’

In June 2024, series creator Jeff Eastin confirmed a new version of White Collar is in the works.

Speaking at Variety‘s TV Fest, the TV producer said: ”We’re gonna reboot. I’m writing the script’, on a panel alongside stars Matt Bomer, Tim DeKay and Tiffany Thiessen.

Some of the cast — who remained tightknit — are slated to reprise their roles or make a cameo.

‘I’m in!’ Bomer exclaimed, confirming his return as DeKay and Thiessen also raised their hands.

‘It’s a fantastic script and it answers all the questions that one would have if you watch the show,’ DeKay said.

‘And it would introduce the show to those who haven’t seen it as well. Both edges of the sword are honed,’ he shared.

Original cast member Willie Garson, who played Mozzie, passed away in 2021 and will be memorialised in the reboot.

‘It honors Willie, too, in a profound way,’ DeKay shared. ‘With such sensitivity and such heart,’ Thiessen added.

‘I told Jeff after I finished it, I literally was so excited, but at the same time had tears in my eyes — for good reason.

‘You captured the suspense, the thrill, the characters and the love in that reboot,’ the actress shared.

Variety noted that the new version will most likely hit the Hulu library upon its release, but nothing has been confirmed.

The original series was run by NBCUniversal-owned cabler USA but Fox Television Studios took over production.

DeKay mentioned during the panel that ‘the hope is that it will be a particular streamer.’

Although Eastin did not reveal much information on the plot of a release date, the original show was left open ended back in 2014.
