The Eastenders actress Jacqueline Jossa has been left ‘shaken’ after she was sent death threats on social media.
Ms Jossa reported the ‘terrifying’ messages to her EastEnders bosses at Elstree Studios, in Hertfordshire, who promptly called the police.
Hertfordshire Police have now launched an investigation into the ‘malicious communication and have provided safeguarding advice to the 33-year-old actress.
And Ms Jossa has reportedly been left ‘a bit shaken’ but she is ‘putting on a brave face and continuing her work commitments’.
Despite her ordeal, the former I’m a Celeb winner was seen enjoying herself at the Soap’s Christmas party this week.
The death threats come after her husband, former Towie star Dan Osborne, revealed that he had been targeted by a female stalker who harassed him daily.
Mr Osborne, who shares two children with Ms Jossa, said the stalker once created nine social media accounts in a day to shadow him.
A source close to Ms Jossa said that she was grateful for all the support bosses at the BBC had provided her.

They told The Sun: ‘The upsetting messages were terrifying and a bit of a shock, and Jacqueline wanted to make bosses aware of what was going on.
‘They were sent via social media, but sinister enough to raise the alarm and take action.
‘She’s been left a bit shaken, but is a tough cookie.’
Ms Jossa has starred as Lauren Branning in Eastenders since 2010 – having briefly departed the show between 2018 and 2024.
During her tenure living on Albert Square, Lauren has become one of the most popular characters in the soap.
The scene where she and sister Abi Branning fell from the roof of The Queen Vic pub was awarded Scene of the Year at the 2018 British Soap Awards.
Hertfordshire Police said: ‘We received a report on Tuesday 16 December of threats received via social media to a woman in Borehamwood.
‘Detectives from Hertsmere CID are investigating the report as a suspected malicious communication. Safeguarding advice has been provided to the victim.
‘The investigation is in its early stages so it would be inappropriate to comment further at this time.’
The Daily Mail have approached representatives of Ms Jossa for a comment.
