A WOMAN has sworn to never do Secret Santa again at work.
Taking to social media, she shared the carefully crafted hamper she made for her Secret Santa, and the tragic present she got in return.

In the clip, she revealed the adorable cream, coordinated gift hamper that she had put together.
Inside, she included lots of goodies, some Christmas snacks, a candle, mug, a reusable straw and socks.
She also packed in some lip gloss, a cute pumpkin decoration, some perfume, and flavoured whipped cream.
She was clearly proud of the gift basket she had created and couldn’t wait to see what she got in return.
But when her present came, she was left disappointed.
Her Secret Santa present was a Christmas-themed mug, some fluffy penguin socks, an EOS lip balm and a few KitKat chocolate bars.
While she did say she was grateful, she said she was not participating in Secret Santa next year.
She wrote: “Ain’t no way this happened to me again.
“All jokes aside, I am grateful.”
The clip went viral on her TikTok account @poll_time with over 1.3 million views and 99k likes.
People were quick to share their thoughts in the comments and people seemed divided.
One person wrote: “Who told you to go all out like that lol it’s literally work.”
Another commented: “This looks like both ends of the scale tbh, one went overboard and one did the BARE minimum. Y’all need a middle ground, especially for when it’s just work colleagues.”
“Will never understand why we can’t be thankful for what we get & stop having such high expectations,” penned a third.
Best Christmas gifts for people who have everything
The Fabulous team have put their heads together and shared the best gifts to give someone who has everything already!
Candle
There’s something deeply appealing about fragrances that aren’t trying too hard to be seasonal; after all, no one wants to smell Christmas in the middle of January. La Montaña’s collection of hand-poured candles, reed diffusers, and room mists provides instant atmospheric transformation. Cloudburst, £45, really does smell like a mountainside after rain, and the new stunning Wisteria, £45 fragrance will remind you of spring when you’re in the depth of dark winter days.
Candle wick trimmer
Tara Ledden, Fabulous Magazine Beauty Editor
“For the pickiest recipients, buy tools rather than cosmetics. To pair with the a candle, Jo Malone’s London Ribbon and Bow Metal Candle Wick Trimmer, £34, is my favourite find of the season, and an essential for any candle lover. It’s even pretty enough to double up as an ornament!”
Luxury tea
Abigail Wilson, Senior Reporter
“For that person in your life who literally has everything, why not stock up their cupboard and treat them to tasty teas that scream luxury? We Brits love a good brew, and Fortnum & Mason have smashed it out of the park with their Famous Tea Selection. Complete with 120 tea bags, it’s a brilliant gift for tea devotees and at £30, it’s not badly priced either.”
Rose plant
Rebecca Miller, Associate Editor
“Maybe I’m biased because I love gardening, but giving a rose bush as a Christmas present is not only personal and thoughtful, but it’s the gift that keeps on growing and blooming long after the Christmas decorations have been put away. What’s more, late December is the ideal time to pot or plant a bare-root rose.
“You Garden’s Rose Black Baccara makes a stunning addition to any outdoor space; its velvety blooms in sultry, deep burgundy shades provide a dramatic addition during the summer. And for just £17.99, it can also pass as a great Secret Santa gift.”
Scarf
Abby McHale, Fashion Editor & Emily Regan, Fashion Stylist
“Men can be notoriously tricky to buy for, but you can’t go wrong with a classic tartan scarf. Barbour’s iconic Wool Patchwork scarf, £49.95, in Forest/Bronze Brown delivers warmth and style. Soft, cosy and timeless, it’s a refined finishing touch for cold-weather outfits.”
Meanwhile a fourth said: “Oh nah. I would have taken half my basket back.”
“The rage I would have felt,” claimed a fifth.
Someone else added: “Oh baby take the basket back from her.”
Hitting back at the haters who said she should be grateful, she explained: “Y’all need to calm down, the budget was big and it was all planned but I was told that this person just didn’t care enough and he told his sister to buy something for me and she went way under the budget.
“That’s why I am so upset. And don’t tell me to be grateful because that is not the problem here.”
