CHRISTMAS fans are dashing to the high street after spotting a festive bargain that is sure to spruce up any tree for pennies.
Savvy shoppers have discovered that Morrisons is selling massive packs of baubles for the incredible price of just 50p, making it one of the cheapest ways to decorate your home this December.

The deal was first flagged by an eagle-eyed bargain hunter on the popular Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, sending members into a frenzy.
One thrilled shopper shared her haul, revealing she managed to bag packs of 30 baubles – which usually set you back £2.50 – for just 50p a box.
She told fellow group members: “Morrisons Cheadle heath 50p each £3 for all this!
“There is two shelf’s full plus they have silver and white.”
The lucky customer managed to snap up a variety of colours including silver, red, purple, blue, and gold, meaning you can colour-coordinate your tree for less than the price of a chocolate bar.
At just 1.6p per bauble, this deal blows other supermarket prices out of the water, with most competitors charging significantly more for similar bulk packs.
For comparison, Asda’s George Home range is currently selling a 30-pack of shatterproof baubles for £3, which is six times the price of the Morrisons clearance find.
Meanwhile, Tesco shoppers can expect to pay around £5 for a similar sized tub of 50 decorations, while a novelty two-pack from Aldi’s special buy aisle will set you back £3.99 alone.
However, bargain hunters should be aware that these rock-bottom prices are likely part of a clearance sale and may not be available in every single store across the UK.
It is also worth noting that if you try to find the same baubles on the Morrisons website, you will likely still see them listed at the full price of £2.50 or more, so this is strictly an in-store treasure hunt.
You’ll need to be quick if you want to grab a box, as deals this good are strictly while stocks last—so check your local branch before the shelves are stripped bare.
How to compare prices to get the best deal
JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.
There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.
Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.
Here are some that we recommend:
- Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
- Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
- Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
- CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.
