A LUTON fan appeared to punch another following the Hatters’ 3-2 defeat at Reading on Thursday night.
Jack Wilshere‘s men fought back from two goals down in Berkshire, only for Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan to restore the home side’s lead just moments later.
At the end of the match, Luton stars Teden Mengi, who played for them in the Premier League just two seasons ago, and Cohen Bramall went up to the disgruntled away end.
In footage captured by Sky Sports, a Hatters fan can be seen angrily remonstrating with the pair.
During the tirade, another supporter pushes his fellow fan, leading to a confrontation.
The first supporter then shoves him off, before a wide angle shows the second appearing to throw a punch.
Luton went into the match, which survived a late pitch inspection, on the back of a four-game unbeaten run in the league since being thwacked 5-0 at Barnsley on November 22 – albeit having drawn their last three.
Reading, meanwhile, had been rocked by reports earlier in the day that their former chief executive Nigel Howe was attempting to liquidate the club.
The Royals finally saw ex-owner Dai Yongge sell the club to Rob Couhig’s Redwood Holdings company back in May following a troubled last few years that has seen several points deductions and transfer embargoes.
Leam Richardson’s side took the lead on just eight minutes last night, Lewis Wing scoring from the penalty spot after Josh Keeley had brought down Daniel Kyerewaa in the box.

Jack Marriott then doubled Reading’s advantage on 52 minutes with a fizzing strike from the edge of the area.
Jordan Clark, another veteran of Luton’s Premier League campaign, poked his side back into the contest shortly before the hour mark – prodding home following a poor attempted clearance by Wing.
Defender Nigel Lonwijk then brilliantly fired the Hatters level in the 76th minute with an exceptional low strike from range.
But barely two minutes later, Ehibhatiomhan slotted past Keeley to restore Reading’s lead.
Just last week, Wilshere was involved in a confrontation with a Luton supporter.
The former Arsenal midfielder approached a fuming fan following his side’s 1-1 draw at Leyton Orient, and could be heard telling him: “We got a point.”
Wilshere, 33, replaced axed former boss Matt Bloomfield at Kenilworth Road in October.
The Hatters are seventh in League One – three points off the play-off places, albeit having played two more matches than sixth-placed Stockport.
Luton will return to action on Boxing Day when they host Wycombe.
