Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour SKIP Stranger Things event after putting on a united front amidst bullying claims

Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour were noticeably absent from the Stranger Things: The Final Season Celebration event in New York City on Thursday.

The actress, 21, and Lily Allen‘s ex, 50, skipped the event, after recently putting on a united front at the Los Angeles premiere of the show, following Brown’s bombshell bullying claims against him.

While other cast members gathered at the Paley Museum to celebrate the last season of the smash hit Netflix show, Brown and Harbour were not present.

Harbour missed out on the scheduled appearance following a reported kerfuffle he was allegedly involved in over the weekend.

The star is said to have snatched a man’s hat at a gastropub in Encinitas, California on Saturday.

Meanwhile Millie recently revealed she sustained an arm injury after taking a fall, which could explain her absence.

Many of their co-stars made the event, including Gaten Matarazzo, Finn Wolfhard, Charlie Heaton, Jamie Campbell Bower, Joe Keery, Natalia Dyer, Maya Hawke, and Caleb McLaughlin.

They were seen happily posing with the show creators Ross Duffer and Matt Duffer on the red carpet.

Earlier in the day it was revealed that Harbour’s name was absent from the website’s page advertising the event, despite him being on the original line-up of stars set to attend.

A spokesperson for the Paley Center told People that Harbour will ‘not be present due to a scheduling conflict.’

It’s unknown when exactly Harbour dropped out of the event, which saw the cast and creators of Stranger Things convene for a conversation and screening of the show from the final season.

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Harbour and the Paley Center for comment but did not immediately hear back.

On Monday, Brown missed her scheduled Good Morning America appearance and joined the show via video instead.

She explained to the audience and her co-star Noah Schnapp that she wasn’t there due to an injury.

‘Hey, everyone at GMA, I’m really sorry I couldn’t be there with you guys,’ she said, adding, ‘I took a fall,’ while showing her arm in a sling.

Last month, Brown revealed her current relationship with Harbour, after filing a bombshell bullying claim against him.

The actress and her co-star were the talk of the town at the LA premiere on November 6, as they put on an ‘OTT comedy double act for the cameras’ just days after it was reported that she had filed a harassment and bullying claim. A week later David was notably absent from the London premiere.

In a new interview Brown insisted the co-stars are on good terms, and are prioritizing their show, which started streaming its final season last month.

‘We love this show with everything, and we value our friendship more than anything,’ Millie told the Hollywood Reporter.

‘We’ve been doing that for the last ten years,’ the actress added when asked why it was important she make a public show of unity with David after news of the filing emerged. ‘I mean, we have always been united in that.’

The Daily Mail exclusively reported last month that the British actress filed ‘pages and pages of accusations’ against Harbour before filming began on the sci-fi series’ final season.

The complaints did not include any allegations of sexual impropriety and so far, the outcome of the investigation is unknown.

Harbour has been a core member of the Stranger Things cast since it first aired in 2016.

Starring in the role of Jim Hopper, often referred to as Sheriff Hopper, he’s one of the series’ most beloved personalities, loved for his complex character arc.

In the series, Hopper adopts Brown’s supernaturally gifted character Eleven, after she escapes from a secretive government facility that conducted experiments on her as a child.

The fifth and final season sees the two characters reunited after they spent much of the penultimate series apart.

Harbour’s absence at the event comes after TMZ reported on an alleged incident involving him in Encinitas, California. The website reported that Harbour was caught on video snatching a man’s hat at a gastropub.

Video apparently exists capturing the mishap, however TMZ was only allowed to watch the clip and none of it was published on their website.

The video reportedly captures Harbour entering the Encinitas Ale House before emerging shortly thereafter, running outdoors with a white cap in hand.

The actor – who earlier this year split from wife Lily Allen – then reportedly shouted as he looked over his shoulder: ‘C’mon, dude, f****** get me!’

A man is then reportedly seen walking outside of the bar, frustrated, and saying, ‘What the f*** did I do to you, dude?’

A slew of people were then seen leaving the bar to catch the incident, and a female voice could be heard imploring, ‘Don’t get into a fight!’

As she says that, the man returns to the bar with his hat. No physical altercation is said to have occurred between Harbour and the man and they parted ways.

A source told TMZ: ‘David has always been honest about managing his bipolar disorder. Wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what he’s dealing with here after working non-stop all year and having his personal life under public scrutiny. That would be stressful for anyone but even more so for someone who is bipolar.’

Harbour was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in his 20s but didn’t speak publicly about his struggles until he found success as Jim Hopper in Stranger Things because he worried about being viewed as unreliable.

While appearing on Marc Maron’s WTF podcast in 2019 he said: ‘As an actor, you’re worried about getting hired, but now I’m at a place where I can talk about this.

‘Also, I’m in my forties, I may as well be myself, whether I get work or not.’
