Her injuries were “indicative of falling from an elevated position”, according to the New York Police Department.

Emergency services responded to a 911 call at around 7:35pm on Wednesday, where they found the girl in critical condition.

She was rushed to Weill Cornell Medical Center but tragically succumbed to her injuries.

Local cops said they were investigating whether the horrific fall was a suicide or an accident – but ruled out foul play.

No arrests have been made and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is expected to later announce her exact cause of death.

The deadly plunge unfolded just weeks after a 16-year-old boy jumped to his death from Regis High School.

The private all-boys school is also located on the Upper East Side.

The teenage boy fell to his death from a fifth-floor window on November 13.

He was reportedly waiting to meet with a teacher about a disciplinary issue moments before the fatal plunge.

After being found by cops, he was rushed to the same hospital the 14-year-old girl was taken to on Wednesday.

The boy was believed to have been waiting outside a staff member’s office on the first floor before walking to the fifth floor and falling to his death, sources told The New York Post.

He was in stable condition when he arrived at the hospital, but tragically died after his condition rapidly deteriorated within a couple of hours.

Chapin School, a luxury all-girls institution, counts a string of notable alumni, including former first lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

Ivanka Trump, Julie Nixon Eisenhower, and Tricia Nixon Cox also attended the school.

It is located on East End Avenue near East 84th Street.

In November, a two-year-old boy died after taking a horror plunge from the 20th floor of an apartment window in New Jersey.

Local cops received reports of an injured toddler around 7am on Saturday before emergency services rushed to the building.
