THIS is the incredible moment cops twice ram into a van driver refusing to stop after he had jumped a red light.
Officers then ploughed into the side of the white Ford Transit, only to bounce off the vehicle that was speeding through other cars.
As the driver attempts to get away again, after rebuffing their attempt to stop him, the police car slams into the van again.
This time, as the Transit was heading up a slipway which would have seen him join the M4 motorway in the wrong direction, they succeed.
Thames Valley Police cops in pursuit manage to wedge their car beneath the tearaway van.
In doing so they nearly flipped it over the railing.
Chasing officers on their radio can be heard saying: “He was about to go the wrong way up the M4.
“We are going to have to abort this. We’ve made contact.”
The shocking incident happened at a junction of the M4 in Slough, Berkshire.
Once cops had stopped the van, driver, Jake Robertson, 20, was cuffed.
The force said that officers were risking their own lives to stop the driver to protect others.
Earlier this month, Robertson the reckless driver of the white Transit, appeared at Reading Crown Court.
He pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, having no insurance, and failing to stop for police.
The shocking incident happened on August 22 this year.
He was charged, remanded, and now, after last week’s court appearance, he will spend Christmas behind bars.
His extraordinarily stupid driving has resulted in him being banned from driving for 5 years and 7 months.
Thames Valley Police described the act of joining the motorway in the wrong direction as “one of the most dangerous acts on our roads”.
