EASTENDERS star Jessie Wallace has branded Strictly Come Dancing as “one of the worst experiences of my life”.
The actress, 54, appeared on the show during it’s sixth series back in 2008 and was paired with professional dancer Darren Bennett.
The two were the fourth pair to be eliminated, with Holby City actor Tom Chambers and his partner Camilla Dallerup becoming the winners for that year.
Despite being a part of one of the most iconic television shows in the UK, it doesn’t look like Jessie would be up for doing an All Stars version of the show.
In a resurfaced clip which is making it’s way around social media, the BBC One star, who plays Kat Slater, admitted she didn’t enjoy the Strictly experience.
In a previous interview with Lizzie Cundy and Stephen Leng on Fubar Radio’s Access All Areas, Jessie was asked: “You did Strictly a few years ago didn’t you? Do you ever watch it?”
She responded: “If people could see me on radio, I’ve crossed my arms and I’m giving you the most filthiest look in the world.
“It was one of the worst experiences of my life, I hated every second of it.”
A shocked Stephen expressed: “That wasn’t what I was expecting to hear.”
An X account re-posted the old clip on the social media platform and wrote: “We need an All Stars series of Strictly Come Dancing for people who hated doing it…
“I’m talking Stephanie Beacham, Mica Paris and of course the queen herself Jessie Wallace.”
Strictly Come Dancing super fans were left begging BBC bosses for a special All Stars series last month.
As part of the show’s annual Blackpool special, Strictly welcomed back Ashley Roberts, Danny Mac, Jay McGuiness and Layton Williams for one last routine.
Performing in the Blackpool Tower ballroom, the foursome opened the show and celebrated their biggest moments from their time on Strictly in an extravagant routine alongside the full cast of pro dancers.
Among the nods, Danny – who was runner-up on the 2016 series with Oti Mabuse – recreated his iconic shirt-ripping moment from a jaw-dropping samba, while Jay – who won the series in 2015 – brought back elements of his Pulp Fiction jive.
Layton, who reached the final in 2023, reunited with Nikita Kuzmin for a performance of his quickstep, while Ashley also started the routine with her jive to Shake Your Tail Feather from her time on the show in 2018.
Fans couldn’t get over the nods to the past as they flocked to X to share their thoughts.
One person wrote: “A Strictly All Stars full series needs to be a thing!”
Another viewer gushed: “Can #Strictly please do an all stars competition Loving this Omg Layton and Nikita.”
While a third added: “give me an all stars season NOW!”
The Wanted star Jay further teased the idea of an All Stars series as he asked host Tess Daly: “If, hypothetically, there was a Strictly All Stars, would you want to come back one more time? Would you, Tess?”
Tess, 56, replied: “I’m not a dancer! It’s a lovely idea, I like it.”
His comment came after Tess and co-host Claudia Winkleman announced this series of the hit show will be their last.
