DONALD Trump has ordered a “total and complete” blockade of all sanctioned oil tankers going in and out of Venezuela.
The US president’s latest escalation comes as he continues to ramp up pressure against Nicolas Maduro’s regime.
Trump said on Truth Social: “I am ordering A TOTAL AND COMPLETE BLOCKADE OF ALL SANCTIONED OIL TANKERS going into, and out of, Venezuela.”
The move also comes after the US military seized a Venezuelan oil tanker last week – with dramatic footage showing armed forces storming Maduro’s vessel.
