LOVE Island star Lauren Wood has opened up about her cosmetic surgery in a frank discussion on Instagram.
The reality star, who appeared on the 12th season of the ITV2 favourite, took to Instagram for a Q+A while she chilled on her sofa.
During the chat, she was asked for information about her boob job, including how big her implants were and where she got it done.
Lauren frankly responded to the question, confirming she had gone under the knife opening up about why and where she decided to get the procedure.
“I’ve had so many messages about this, asking if I’ve had them done, what size, Where did I go,” she told her followers.
“So I had mine done about six years ago now, and I went to a place called Nuffield in York. It’s like a private hospital, and honestly, they were amazing, couldn’t recommend them enough.”
Sharing her thoughts behind the decision, she added: “It was something I was very, very insecure of back then, and it just helped with my confidence so much.
“I went under the muscle just to get that more natural look, because I was going for a round implant. I did want teardrop [implants] initially, and then when I went to the surgeon… everyone’s surgeons are obviously completely different, and might advise differently, but for me, for the look that I was going for, and I wanted them to be natural and to get the size I had to go under the muscle.
“But like I say, everyone’s different depending on your size and what you’re wanting and what the look is, because everyone obviously wants different.”
The star also praised her surgeon for their continued advice during the consultation period, which included them advising against going too big so she could maintain the look she wanted.
“I’m pretty sure, because it was so long ago, I honestly can’t quite remember, I’ve got a feeling I went for 225c and I think I wanted 275, but my surgeon was very much like, ‘we’re not putting that size in you, it’s too big for your frame’.
“Obviously, every surgeon is different, and they will all recommend differently, but my surgeon recommended 225, and they honestly are really natural, which is exactly what I wanted.”
Lauren has previously been open about the ups and downs of her cosmetics journey, including deciding to get her lip fillers dissolved back in November.
The Casa Amor bombshell shared that she had been having filler for the last six years before her lips started to migrate.
This meant that the filler had started to move away from the original injection site deforming the previous shape she had once before.
This was the star’s second appointment after previously getting her cheeks dissolved revealing she was now heading on a ‘natural journey’.
The decision came after her shock split with Love Island boyfriend, Harrison Solomon, who quit the series in explosive scenes just 24 hours after Lauren was dumped from the island.
The couple were entangled in a love triangle with Toni Laites during their time in the villa, with the two girls fighting over Solomon.
When Toni picked Harrison in a recoupling, Lauren was dumped – and Harrison opted to leave shortly afterwards.
Despite the bold move, the pair only lasted a few months before going their separate ways, with sources telling The Sun it “just wasn’t working”.
Harrison is now rumoured to be in the line-up for the All Stars season this January.
