FORMER England, Blackburn Rovers and Leicester keeper Tim Flowers has been unveiled as the new boss of the struggling non-league side Bromsgrove after Scott Adey-Linforth was axed on Wednesday.
Bromsgrove slipped to 17th in the Southern League Premier Central Division following Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Stratford Town, leaving them just two points above the drop zone.
Flowers only walked away from Alvechurch last month after a year in the hot seat, and now returns to Bromsgrove for a second stint, having previously stepped in as interim boss at the end of the 2022-23 campaign.
The 58-year-old ex-Solihull Moors, Barnet and Gloucester City manager will officially take over on December 15.
But he will be in the stands for Saturday’s clash with Real Bedford.
Club captain Ash Carter and U21s manager Stuart Carson will handle the dugout duties, supported by director of football Iain Queen.
Chairman Rod Brown said: “We would like to thank Scott for all his hard work and effort during his time with us – especially managing to keep us up last season following Paul Smith’s departure.
“We also thank his assistants, Richard Batchelor and Karl Fellows, for all their efforts too.
“We feel that we sit in a precarious position, similar to that of just over a year ago.
“We have therefore secured the services of Tim Flowers as our new manager, officially commencing his role on Monday 15th December.

“We worked with Tim previously as an interim manager for three months following Michael McGrath’s departure. Then, he managed, against the odds, to keep us up that year.
“Tim comes with a vast amount of experience at Step One, Two and Three, plus strong recruitment expertise.”
Flowers famously lifted the Premier League title with Blackburn in 1995.
This is his 12th managerial appointment of his coaching career as he bids to pull the club away from danger once again.
