AngryGinge reveals ‘hardest part’ of I’m A Celebrity

I’M A Celebrity champion Angry Ginge has opened up on the hardest part of the programme after being declared the 25th winner of the programme.

The YouTuber and Twitch streamer spoke to The Sun following his win in which he told us about his hidden jungle struggles and his plans to pursue his Michelle Keegan crush.

Speaking following his victory, Ginge admitted that the middle part of his jungle stint was the hardest.

He said to us: “The earlier days were a bit easier, just because that’s when you’re speaking to everyone, you’re getting to know them, so they kind of go and fly.

“And then, it gets to around day nine, ten…

“I think nine to 14 are the toughest, just because you’re sat there, you wake up for the day… maybe day 11 you go, ‘I’ve still got another 11 days to go, I’ve still got two weeks to go there’.”

Recalling the length of each day, he said: “We worked out that you got sent out for a trial at 9.30am.

“So then when they got back, we worked out it was about 12.30pm, and then if you didn’t have anything from 12.30pm until dinner, you’ve got about seven hours to kill.

“When you think about them moments, it’s like, ‘This is going to be so tough’.”

Ginge found fame streaming himself playing football video games, and has more than five million followers across platforms such as YouTube and Twitch.

Ginge has been credited with attracting a new, younger audience to I’m A Celeb – but he also endeared himself to traditional viewers, too.

And he has become something of a heartthrob with female fans.

Ginge laughed: “I don’t blame them!

“That’s not something I would’ve anticipated, I must admit. But maybe me in jungle attire’s quite sexy.”

But he will be avoiding his celebrity crush – actress Michelle Keegan, who Ginge said he would approach if he saw her.

Michelle’s hubby Mark Wright jokingly said he should “stay away”.

Asked what he would do now following Mark’s comments, Ginge said: “Right, OK. Definitely keep my distance if Mark Wright’s on to me.”

During his time Down Under, Ginge told campmate Ruby Wax that Michelle would be his ideal woman.

Ruby asked: “What’s your type and how do you approach a woman?”

He responded: “Gotta be funny, gotta be spontaneous and allow me to have my own time when I need it.”

The presenter shot back: “That sounds kinda like you’re covering honestly. What woman, if you were walking down the street, would your head twist around?”

The streamer revealed: “Michelle Keegan, I think she’s beautiful,” as Ruby interjected: “But what would be your approach? Be honest.”

Ginge explained: “I would be honest. I’d say, ‘Hi Michelle, I hope you’re doing well. I’m just wondering if I can get your Instagram please?’.”
