La Voix hints she’s taking over Strictly hosting duties as she makes secret return to the show

LA VOIX has dropped a huge hint she’s taking on Strictly Come Dancing’s hosting duties next season.

The RuPaul Drag Race star uploaded a snap to her Instagram page showing her looking delighted as she hung out with current BBC show anchors Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman backstage.

Claudia, 53, and her longstanding Strictly sidekick Tess, 56, announced their plans to step down from their iconic BBC telly role last month.

Since their bombshell news, a list of stars in line to replace the duo has come to light, including 2025 celeb star La Voix – who begged for the job live on air.

She then made another candid bid for the hosting gig – even getting Tess’ seal of approval in the process.

Despite being the third star of the series left injured and forced to pull out of Strictly due to medical grounds, La Voix has remained a huge part of the show.

Her exit – which left the star devastated and prompted a huge change in the show format – could well have led to another career path.

She was spotted with the hosting pair at Strictly’s London studios, following an action packed Musicals Week.

In her social media caption she teased fans: “What was I up to tonight with my favourite girls?!”

Fans were quick to suggest she was a shoo-in for the host role and one wrote: “Final checks on your new job for next year surely.”

A second put: “Work experience with your mentor?? Hope so!”

A third posted: “Induction for the new job? The girls showing you the fire exits, muster points and putting you on the tea kitty?”

One then added: “NABBING ONE OR OTHER OF THEIR JOBS WE HOPE.”

LA VOIX’S EXIT

Last month, we reported how La Voix would be quitting the series for good after suffering a painful incident in rehearsals.

Originally, the fan-favourite drag queen was given a bye for Saturday November 22’s live show at the iconic Tower Ballroom in Blackpool.

Yet she then told how her issue was too serious to continue, before breaking her silence and admitting she was “absolutely devastated.”

All your Strictly Come Dancing winners

Strictly first kicked off back in 2004, and over the years has crowned 21 winners.

On ITV daytime show Loose Women this week, she opened up on her tearful “meltdown” after being told she could no longer compete.

HUGE CHANGE

Last month, Claudia and Tess got teary as they opened the first show since announcing they were quitting at the end of the series.

It came after The Sun revealed the real reason behind Tess and Claud’s shock departure.

BBC bosses are said to have been blindsided by their departure, with only a small number of people in the TV industry made aware of their intentions.

It’s understood they secretly filmed the exit video weeks ago — and released it mid-series so as not to overshadow the eventual winner.

Their last show will be on Christmas Day.

A source said: “Claudia and Tess have known they were leaving Strictly since last year. They felt like it was their time to go.

“They discussed this privately and agreed they would walk away together, but kept it firmly under wraps.”

Their exit comes after the BBC show was hit by a string of recent scandals involving its professional dancers and behind-the-scenes conduct.

Plummeting viewing figures and “underwhelming” line-ups even prompted betting giants to offer odds earlier this year on this being the show’s final outing.
