
A WOMAN’S body has been pulled from a river amid the hunt for a missing 79-year-old.
Cops frantically searching for Jill Grint recovered a body from the River Yare in Cringleford, Norfolk, this afternoon.

Emergency crews were alerted to the grim discovery after members of the public spotted the body in the water near Jill’s home.
Formal identification is yet to take place but the family of the missing 79-year-old have been informed.
The sad death is not believed to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner, cops said.
Jill Grint was last seen near her home in, Earlham, Norwich, around 10.30am yesterday.
The 79-year-old was wearing a blue coat, navy trousers, navy trainers and carrying what appeared to be a yellow bag.
CCTV showed Jill was using her walking stick at the time of her disappearance.
Cops had deployed police dogs, a drone team and a helicopter as part of their search for the missing woman.
Norfolk Constabulary said: “Police can sadly confirm that the body of a woman has been found in the River Yare in Cringleford.
“The discovery was made this afternoon (6 December) in the river by members of the public.
“While formal identification is yet to take place, the family of 79-year-old Jill Grint who was reported missing yesterday in the Earlham area, have been informed.
“The death is not believed to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
