Watch Martin Kemp perform iconic song with Ant and Dec in ‘lethal’ I’m a Celeb bushtucker trial with Tom Read Wilson

MARTIN Kemp is so happy to finally be taking on a Bushtucker trial that he broke out into song during the challenge, while Tom Read Wilson took on some heavy-duty snakes.

The singer joined Celebs Go Dating star Tom as they faced “lethal libraries”, in scenes set to be aired during tonight’s show.

Tom was tasked with finding a book in a snake-laden library, something which was more difficult than it looked

Tom was tasked with heading into a “library” to find The Jungle Book, but had to sort through several snake-clad novels to find it.

Meanwhile, Martin was outside acting as the “librarian” as he waited for Tom to retrieve the book.

Lightening the mood, Ant and Dec began to sing Jungle Book song The Bare Necessities by Phil Harris.

Beaming, Martin began dancing along before breaking out into song – waving his hands into the air.

After joyously singing the chorus, Dec snapped straight back into action as he bellowed “four minutes left”, ending the song.

Meanwhile, Tom was still inside the library trying to retrieve the book – kindly apologising to the snakes as he maneuvered through them.

This trial marks one of the first times we will see Martin take on some creepy crawlies, with the Spandau Ballet star appearing on screen significantly less than his campmates so far.

However, his former co-star Vogue Williams has given an insight into the reason why we haven’t seen so much of Martin.

Speaking on social media after leaving the jungle, Vogue told fans: “Martin did want to do the trials, but Martin was exempt from some.

“And I think everybody wanted to do the trials, which was probably unusual for a year.”

She added: “I think that because Martin is a bit quieter he was kinda happy to let everybody else go ahead.

“Martin’s sound, such a nice guy. He’s really, really lovely.”

Martin’s alleged exemption from trials might relate to his epilepsy after his brain tumour battle in the 90s, though this is not confirmed.

He has openly spoken about having two brain tumours in the late 90s and undergoing surgery and radiotherapy to remove them.

He has also shared that he lives with epilepsy, which he takes medication for.
