TIGER WOODS has sparked rumours that he could lead Team USA at the 2027 Ryder Cup after holding an impromptu press conference in the Bahamas.
The 15-time major champion stunned reporters with a surprise media call at Albany Golf Club ahead of this week’s Hero World Challenge.
And while he played things cool about his long-term plans, William Hill have wasted no time in slashing the odds on him taking the captaincy role.
Woods is now just 5/4 to captain the American side when the Ryder Cup heads to Adare Manor in 2027.
That puts him firmly in pole position to follow Keegan Bradley as the man tasked with bringing the trophy back across the Atlantic.
Despite dodging direct questions about the role, his mere presence and carefully chosen words were enough to send the betting markets into a frenzy.
It comes after a turbulent year in which Woods has battled through more surgeries and yet another gruelling comeback attempt.
Still, the bookies haven’t written off a playing revival just yet.
William Hill make him 20/1 to clinch a PGA Tour victory next season, a feat that would rank among his greatest comebacks.
And for the dreamers, there’s 66/1 on offer for Woods to bag another major title in 2026.

William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps said the Bahamas briefing offered “real insight” into what lies ahead for the golfing icon.
He said: “While the golfing legend ( Tiger Woods) wasn’t giving too much away about his future roles on and off the course, you can never discount him.”
He added that Woods remains a live contender for the Ryder Cup captaincy despite offering little in the way of hard confirmation.
Phelps also insisted that fans should never rule out Tiger pulling another rabbit out of the hat, whether as captain or as a competitor.
