A LEGENDARY fast food chain is bringing its ‘mega’ US servings to the UK for the first time ever.
Brits are finally about to get a taste of America’s massive portions, thanks to the Louisiana fried chicken chain launching giant tubs of sauce that are already causing a stir online.

Popeyes has unveiled “Mega Dips”, described as supersized US-style servings, marking the first time a UK fast food brand has offered anything like it.
Portion sizes across the pond are known for being on a whole different scale and now the UK is getting a slice of the action.
The new cups hold a whopping 450g of sauce, served in drinks-style pots instead of tiny plastic tubs.
Flavours include classic Ranch, smoky Kickback and a warm Cheese dip, all for £3.99.
Those wanting a slightly less jaw-dropping serving can still go bigger with a “Big Dip”, costing £1.99 for a 160ml pot.
It follows a successful trial last month where 115,000 Mega and Big Dips sold nationwide, which is almost enough to fill a swimming pool with sauce.
The move mirrors viral videos in the US where rival chain Raising Cane’s serves its signature sauce in huge soda cups.
The chicken brand recently revealed plans to open in London in 2026, but Popeyes has beaten them to the punch on the oversized dip trend.
Dave Hoskins, head of food at Popeyes UK, said: “Inspired by the worldwide love for huge dips, we thought it was about time to bring that extra bit of sauce to Popeyes in the UK.
“These oversized dips are the perfect pairing for our Shatter Crunchin’ chicken and are here to bring maximum flavour to the menu.”
The reaction online has been huge, with TikTokers calling the mega pots “unreal”, “banging” and “heaven”, as fans dunk entire tenders into the gooey tubs.
One user raved: “Ghost Pepper Wings with Mega Dips is the perfect combo.”
Another insisted the launch was “a dream come true”, while others praised the chain for “finally giving fans what they want”.
But not everyone is loving the US-style excess.
Some Brits insist the move crosses the line into too-big territory.
One critic moaned: “We don’t need US portion sizes here man.”
Another suggested Popeyes was simply copying Raising Cane’s.
The fast-food chain isn’t just stopping at mega-sized dips.
Across the UK, Popeyes is ramping up its expansion in a big way.
According to The Caterer, the brand has secured around £43 million in finance facilities from Barclays UK Corporate Banking to help roll out 45 new restaurants in 2025.
The move is part of plans to double its UK footprint and create around 2,500 jobs nationwide.
Expansion isn’t limited to the high street either.
Popeyes has teamed up with SSP Group to open its first UK airport site at Birmingham Airport, marking the brand’s entry into travel hub dining.
