WEIGHT loss jabs will shrink Christmas dinners and increase food waste as they dash diners’ appetites, experts warn.
Some 2.5million Brits are estimated to be using slimming injections such as Mounjaro and Wegovy.

They stop the brain’s hunger signals and make users full after only a morsel.
Traditional festive over-indulgence might be the latest victim of the jabs’ huge popularity.
A poll of 2,500 people by online pharmacy CheqUp found 45 per cent of people hosting Christmas this year will buy less booze and fewer desserts due to smaller appetites.
And 28 per cent say they will cut back on turkey and ham purchases.
Toby Nicol, chief executive at the chemist, said: “There is a worry that Christmas retail hasn’t caught up with reality.
“Millions of people now eat dramatically smaller portions, yet the supermarket aisle still assumes everyone wants a full adult serving.
“This will lead to overbuying, overspending and avoidable waste.
“As eating habits shift, retailers will need to rethink portion norms, product sizing and seasonal bundles to match modern consumption.”
He estimates there will be a fat jab patient in 5.5m households this Yuletide.
It comes after a warning against drinking too much booze as the effects of alcohol might feel stronger to people using the injections.
They slow down digestion and absorption from the stomach meaning people react differently to usual.
Nutritionist Ian Marber said: “If you choose to drink alcohol while taking GLP medications, try to be modest in your consumption – and be mindful that the alcohol level in your bloodstream may stay elevated for longer.”
