UKRAINE has struck top Vladimir Putin ally Ramzan Kadyrov’s special forces hub in Chechnya – with the massive blast sending shockwaves deep inside Russia.
A wave of sophisticated drone attacks targeted two of Putin’s crucial units – with extraordinary footage showing one of the precise blitzes hitting the Russian region.
Shocking footage captured the attack drone swarming the key Russian building before destroying it and sending the unit blowing up into a huge fireball.
The UAV struck Kadyrov’s Akhmat unit in Gudermes – marking yet another blow to Putin’s bloody war machine.
The special forces base is fiercely loyal to top Putin chump Kadyrov – the tyrannical and flamboyant warlord and head of the Chechen Republic.
The Vlad-loving henchman, 48, who is said to be dying from ill-health, nearly drowned this summer while on holiday in Turkey, reports claimed.
The Akhmat unit – named after Kadyrov’s dad – has fought on the front line in Ukraine, with deployments in Kharkiv and Donetsk.
In a separate brave attack, Kyiv also struck Russia’s FSB office in Achkhoy-Martan.
Social media photos showed the special intelligence hub’s blown out windows and decimated rooftop in the aftermath of the strikes.
The assaults came on Tuesday morning, hours ahead of Donald Trump’s peace team’s face-to-face summit with the Russian tyrant in Moscow.
Special envoy Steve Witkoff, 68, and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, 44, have been entrusted by the Don to help bring an end to the almost four-year war and finally stop the Kremlin tyrant.
The newest attacks came after Russian ballistic missiles hit an industrial area in Dnipro on Monday – killing four and injuring 40, authorities said.
Ukraine’s stunning operation also came before mad Vlad hinted Russia was ready for World War Three, saying: “We’re not going to fight Europe, but if Europe wants to fight us, we’re ready right now.”
He raged on Tuesday that European powers were making demands on a possible peace deal for Ukraine – but one which Moscow considers absolutely unacceptable.
Putin’s fighting talk came before he greeted the US delegation to the Russian capital for the latest round of Ukraine peace talks.
Trump’s team have officially entered negotiations with Putin, aiming to broker a resolution to the bloody conflict.
The key talks come after weeks of behind-the-scenes diplomacy with global leaders – signalling a possible breakthrough in efforts to bring an end to the war.
At the start of the talks, the American pair were asked about their stay in the Russian capital so far.
Witkoff praised Moscow as a “magnificent city” and hailed Putin’s leadership in an unconcealed effort to butter up the Russian dictator.
The US is determined to get both sides on the same page over how the conflict can end with certain peace terms already being hashed out.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on X following a visit to Ireland today: “We must end this war in a way that prevents Russia from coming back a year later with a third invasion.”
The wartime leader also hailed Ireland for “doing the right thing” as premier Micheal Martin pledged to support Ukraine “for as long as it takes”.
The US delegation is expected to travel to meet Zelensky after they leave the Kremlin to update him on the latest negotiations.
Washington and Moscow are currently focusing today’s crunch talks on two possible peace plans put forward in recent weeks.
What is the Akhmat Unit?
THE Akhmat Unit is an elite Russian special forces unit known for its fierce loyalty to Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov.
The unit is named after Kadyrov’s late father, Akhmat Kadyrov. Its ranks include Rosgvardia special forces, volunteer regiments, and Kadyrov’s private security battalions.
They’ve been involved in the Ukraine war since its beginning, taking part in major battles like the sieges of Mariupol and Azovstal, the capture of Severodonetsk and Lysychansk, and the push toward Pokrovsk in Donetsk.
Akhmat fighters have been accused by Ukrainian intelligence and Russian military bloggers of acting as “barrier detachments”, threatening to shoot any regular Russian or separatist troops who retreat.
The unit is a key propaganda tool for Russia, with Kadyrov’s commanders constantly sharing edited videos of house-to-house combat and even prisoner executions on Telegram.
They are a prime target for Ukrainian forces. Just this week, Ukrainian military intelligence launched a sabotage operation against Akhmat near Berdyansk in the southeastern Zaporizhzhia region.
The first is a 28-point plan based on many of Putin’s demands which he told Trump about during their Alaskan summit.
It was reportedly devised by Witkoff and Kremlin official Kirill Dmitriev.
The plan was seen as highly favourable towards Russia and included Ukraine halving their armed forces and giving up swathes of territory.
Ukraine and their European allies said it would be impossible to ever agree to such terms.
The second version is a redrafted 19-point plan typed out by Western allies in Geneva which “refines” what the US had proposed.
Both plans are being discussed in Moscow now with Kushner and Witkoff looking to leave Russia with an ironclad deal to take back to President Trump.
