REAL MADRID’S under-fire manager Xabi Alonso is facing the sack unless results AND performances immediately improve.
Real‘s troubles continued under Alonso, 44, on Sunday when they drew 1-1 at Girona in LaLiga.

Los Blancos have now drawn all of their last three league matches following their visits at Rayo Vallecano and Elche.
Madrid did beat Olympiacos 4-3 this past Wednesday in the Champions League but it saw them spending the last 10 minutes of the match desperately defending a fragile lead in Greece.
According to The Athletic, pressure is mounting for Alonso after a poor run of results that saw Real’s most recent league victory taking place on November 1 in a 4-0 thrashing of Valencia at Santiago Bernabeu.
Club sources have described the ongoing situation as “very difficult” because the team is playing “very badly”.
Others described this weekend’s result and performance against a relegation struggler as “a disaster”.
The same sources insist Real’s next matches will be crucial as club chiefs demand better results and more convincing performances.
It has also been said that Alonso‘s tactics as well as philosophy are not getting through to the players.
Nevertheless, the Spanish tactician still has allies that insist this is not the ex-Bayer Leverkusen boss’ fault.

Instead the same sources claim this comes down to the fact that there can be no balance in the team as Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham don’t fit together.
The same report claims there is a mix of players who remain unconvinced about the Liverpool legend’s methods and others who argue that the manager is not to blame.
Real are second in LaLiga with only one point separating them from leaders Barcelona.
