‘Is it an April Fool’s?’ baffled fans ask as LadBaby Mum breaks the internet with controversial new business venture

THEY’VE certainly come a long way since bursting onto the YouTube scene with their hilarious videos.

And now LadBaby and LadBaby Mum, aka Mark and Roxanne Hoyle, have announced their latest business venture – and divided opinions in the process.

The pair took to Instagram to share a video about the project they’ve spent the past two years working on, as they admitted they were “nervous” to do so.

“We have been working on something for the last two years that I can’t even tell you how many people said, couldn’t be done,” Mark said.

“It’s not possible. That’s all we kept getting told.”

He went on to say that the idea began for a “family business” from scratch that “tasted good” and he and Rox could create “without anybody’s help”.

So they came up with the concept of taking “Britain’s favourite food” and turning them into sauces.

And among them – the sausage roll mayo.

Mark’s love of sausage rolls is well-known, and they even used to inspire new takes on four Christmas songs, all of which claimed the festive number one spot.

“They said it couldn’t be done,” he said.

“They said you can’t put a sausage roll into mayo. Yes, you can. And it tastes incredible!

“When you’ve got a plate of chips and you want something to dip it in, this is the one.”

The range also includes lasagna ketchup, which Rox said works brilliantly with garlic bread, pizza or mozzarella dippers, as well as chicken slice mayo, which is perfect on a BLT.

“Pimp up your wraps and pimp up your sandwiches because I’m being honest, sandwiches are a bit boring,” Rox urged.

There’s also fry up ketchup, which has hints of “beany juice” and tastes like a fry up without having one.

And arguably the most controversial addition of all – the Christmas dinner sauce.

“It’s got the cranberry flavouring, it’s got the pigs in blanket, it’s got the stuffing,” Mark said, as Rox urged people to get one as a stocking filler.

The sauces come in at £3.99 a bottle, with 10p of each sale going to the Trussell Trust – helping provide food to people on the lowest incomes.

Who is Ladbaby Mum and what is she famous for?

Roxanne Hoyle is wife to Mark Hoyle, aka LadBaby.

Together they are the online family entertainment personalities and comedy duo behind LadBaby and LadBabyMum.

LadBaby took the music industry by storm in 2018 with their debut song ‘We Built This City on Sausage Rolls’.

The couple followed this up with four more charity chart topping singles to make chart history by being the only acts in UK music history to have scored FIVE consecutive Christmas number one singles in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. 100% of all proceeds from the tracks going directly to supporting UK food bank charity, The Trussell Trust.

In 2021, LadBaby branched out into the world of children’s picture books with their debut title: Greg the Sausage Roll – Santa’s Little Helper.

In 2023, the couple started a podcast, Live, Laugh, Love.

In 2024 Mark & Rox released an autobiography, and now they have just released their very own family board game, titled ‘Sausage Roll’.

The couple have had partnerships with the likes of Jet2 and Smyths Toys, and Rox has even had her own clothing edit with In The Style and Asda.

The pair concluded by urging fans to go to their website to get their hands on one of the new sauces, which ship worldwide.

And it seems that their plea worked, as the website ended up crashing – apparently because of the amount of visitors it was receiving.

The site came up with an error code when people clicked on it, stating that it was “exceeding the resource limit”.

“The website’s crashed. A true sign of what’s to come,” one person commented on the Instagram Reel.

“What a great idea! Well done both!”

“Well done guys!! We’ve all killed the site out,” another laughed.

“Link is not working as says at capacity,” a third pointed out, adding: “This is going to be a best seller!”

And while some people called the parents-of-two “geniuses” for coming up with the unique flavourful sauces, others weren’t quite as convinced.

“Yuck, sorry!” one wrote.

“All sound disgusting, you will never EVER beat Heinz tomato which goes with everything,” another added.

“Not hating just facts!”

As a third commented: “Did i sleep through Christmas, New Year, Valentines and wake up on April 1st????!!!!”

“Is it April Fool’s?” someone else questioned.
