A promoter who has worked for Alan Carr and Paddy McGuinness has opened up about what it was like to work with them when the cameras weren’t rolling.
Fans are always desperate to know what their favourite famous faces are like – and one Digital Spy forum has allowed many to share their experiences.
Comedians Alan, 49, and Paddy, 52, are huge names in the showbiz industry and one fan said on the site: ‘Hoping to meet Alan Davies, Bill Bailey, Jeremy Hardy, Alan Carr, Bryan Ferry, Heaven 17, Spandau Ballet and Paddy McGuiness. Any stories?’
A promoter identified themselves on the site and wrote: ‘As a promoter I’ve met both Alan Carr and Paddy McGuinness.’
They then went on to reveal what their experience with Celebrity Traitors winner Alan, 49, was like – and it was very positive.
‘Alan was backstage at an event and a nice enough guy, not quite down to Earth but he was okay.’

In the same post, he explained how ‘brilliant’ Paddy was.
Paddy shot to fame in the 90s and has gone on to star in a number of popular shows such as Phoenix Nights, That Peter Kay Thing and Max and Paddy’s Road to Nowhere.
He’s also presented Take Me Out, Top Gear and Tempting Fortune.
The promoter continued: ‘Paddy McGuiness was brilliant. Backstage he was chatty and one of the lads.
‘After the event he came along to the “kebab shop” before going back to the hotel. Excellent guy who we still keep in touch.’
Elsewhere on the thread, the promoter rushed to defend and share his opinion on legendary children’s entertainer Timmy Mallet, 70.
Timmy is a well-known children’s TV presenter who shot to fame in the 80s, appearing in Wacaday.
‘I’ve also met him quite a few times in a professional capacity where I’m paying him (student night promoter) and I have always had a completely different experience with him, always been totally fine.’

The promoter was writing in response to: ‘He’s just very rude and arrogant, everybody else was below him and may as well have been s**t on his show.
‘I’ve met lots of celebs in my time and always on a professional level (where they’re being paid) and he is the one who sticks out in my mind as the worst.
‘Proper childhood ruiner that was.’
Last week Alan shared the real reason why he broke down in tears during the Celebrity Traitors’ finale reveal while on Friday’s episode of This Morning – and the ‘abuse’ he has received since winning the BBC show.
The comedian, 49, appeared on the ITV programme alongside actor Oliver Savell, 16, to chat to Rochelle Humes, 36, and Dermot O’Leary, 52, about the upcoming series of Changing Ends.
But conversation soon turned to Alan’s epic win on this year’s series of Celebrity Traitors.
The funnyman – who was chosen to be a Traitor alongside Jonathan Ross and Cat Burns, 25 – made it to the final with Cat, Joe Marler, 35, Nick Mohammed, 45, and David Olusoga, 55.
And after he found out the news, he burst into tears and confessed: ‘That’s what made me cry was Nick – around that roundtable, at the end, he looked at me, and he was like, “We’ve got this,” and I was like, “No, I’ve got this.”
‘But what came over me? I started getting a blood lust… I wanted a murder.’

He also opened up about the ‘abuse’ that he received when he murdered his co-star Tom Daley, 31.
Alan said: ‘I murdered Paloma. I felt awful. And then the next week, when I murdered Tom Daley, I was getting abuse from the gays.
‘”Oh, you’ve killed the only eye candy in the castle, Alan!” Like, “Hello!”
‘And then I had to kill poor Celia Imrie.’
It comes after earlier this week Alan revealed what was really the saddest moment of Celebrity Traitors after the comedian won the nation’s favourite series earlier this month.
The star took to his role of Traitor like none other, growing braver and more daring with each murder he committed.
He kicked the series off with the brutal murder of his dear friend Paloma Faith after he killed her in plain sight by touching her face with the pollen of a faux poisoned lily, leaving her furious at the betrayal.
However Alan didn’t mention the murder of Paloma as he revealed the saddest moment of the series was actually Tom Daley’s murder.
The Olympic diver was the second star to be murdered during the series, and appearing on The One Show on Thursday Alan opened up about his choice to kill him.
He told hosts Roman Kemp and Alex Jones: ‘The saddest thing was when I murdered Tom Daley.

‘Because you go in in the morning and he was knitting and then he was murdered and there was just a bag of wool left.
‘He had been murdered mid stitch, that’s why I was a bag of nerves no wonder I was sobbing.’
Alan and Paloma previously admitted the pregnant singer, 44, was furious at being the first victim on the BBC show and the pair appeared to be embroiled in a feud following the series.
However the pair begrudgingly hugged each other as they put their Traitors feud to bed earlier this month.
In a behind-the-scenes video from spin-off show Uncloaked, the pair hugged each other and insisted they are still pals.
Wrapping Paloma in his arms, Alan insisted: ‘Stop worrying. See? We are friends!’
The singer agreed, ‘It’s all fine,’ before Alan added, ‘We love each other.’
During his appearance on Uncloaked, Alan confessed to feeling immense guilt deceiving his friends, particularly when it came to killing off Paloma.
Trying to defend himself, he told host Ed Gamble that he felt ‘awful’ doing the deed and insisted he had no choice but to pick his pal.

Alan said: ‘The thing is, when I killed Paloma I felt sick inside. And you’ve got to remember, it was such a cruel twist to touch someone’s face. Now, you’re the only one… I mean if I touched any of these other faces, I’d be sent to HR!’
He added: ‘It was so awful. I’m a fan of her music, I’ve been a fan of her for a long time, we are friends, we go on each other’s podcasts. So, yeah it absolutely really hurt.’
When asked by Ed if he wanted to say anything to Paloma, who was sat in the audience, Alan apologised to her, before quipping that he had fathered her unborn baby.
He said: ‘I am so sorry. You know I am and I want to tell everyone that I’m the father of her child. We had a make-up hug and one thing led to another!’
As the audience burst into hysterical laughter, Paloma joked back: ‘I have been known to turn people. And it was an enjoyable experience for both of us I hope.’
She then showed that all was forgiven between her and Alan, despite speculation of a feud between the pair, as she voiced her happiness that he had won the competition.
She said: ‘But I just also want to say that I think observing tonight and going through my whole plethora of hormonal emotions, I feel that the reason that Alan won and the reason I was so sad was because we all love him so much.
‘And I love you so much and I’m so happy that you won because it was bloody worth it then. But I think that most people didn’t vote for you, because they’re like “How can we vote someone so lovable?” And it really concludes that thing, that you won it.’
