DANIEL Craig has thrilled fans by returning as eccentric detective Benoit Blanc in the third Knives Out installment, Wake Up Dead Man.
The new Netflix film brings with it an all star cast who, over the course of their film careers, have been known for some VERY saucy scenes.
Along with Daniel Craig, Wake Up Dead Man’s line-up includes the likes of Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Kerry Washington, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny, Daryl McCormack, Thomas Haden Church, Jeremy Renner, and Josh O’Connor – who joins the franchise for the first time.
Over the years some of these stars have acted in some iconic sex scenes.
Here we take a look at their most raunchiest moments.
Daniel Craig
During his early days as a young actor, Daniel Craig had a romp with actress Anne Reid in The Mother.
At the time the James Bond star was 35, and Anne was 68.
The 2003 film centres around an older woman having a relationship with a much younger man.
However, The Last Tango In Halifax actress has since revealed that her sex scenes with Daniel actually reduced her to tears, as the anxiety at getting naked was too much for her.
Anne previously told Kirsty Young on Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs: “The night before I had a lot of drink on my own in the flat and I stripped and I stood in front of a mirror and thought, ‘Tomorrow I’m going to have to show this’.
“And I started to cry and I thought, ‘Oh my good God, I can’t do this’.
“I rang my son and I was weeping and he said, ‘Look Mum, it’s a great part, if you’re inhibited it’s not going to work so just go for it’.
“I sort of managed to pull myself together but it was scary.”
Mila Kunis
In 2007, Mila Kunis was seen enjoying a lesbian romp with Zoe Saldana in their After Sex movie.
The romantic comedy-drama, which was written and directed by Eric Amadio, revolves around several couples having conversations after having sex.
Mila and Zoe played a teenage couple, who had just had sex for the first time in Kristy’s bedroom.
Glenn Close
Knives Out star Glenn Close is probably best known for her iconic role in Fatal Attraction.
The 80s film coined the phrase “bunny boiler” following THAT scene, but it was also well know for its sizzling sex scenes.
Starring opposite Michael Douglas, the pair played Dan and Alex, and saw their characters embark on an illicit affair.
Before things turn VERY sour in the film, one of the pair’s most sexiest scenes sees them get hot and steamy in the kitchen.
Recalling shooting this sizzling moment, Michael told Entertainment Weekly: “Sex in movies is always a delicate line. Glenn was raring to go,
“We got up there on the kitchen table, and she came up with this great idea with the sink, with the water running and making herself wet, which is always good.”
Continuing, the iconic actor added: “The only thing I threw in, I remember, was this moment where we were going at it, [and since] I like comic relief, I think you need a second [of it], and there’s a second where I had my pants down [while] carrying Glenn, then tripping, and then having to make this run for the bed,” he continues. “It kind of let the audience relax for a second.”
Cailee Spaeny
Cailee Spaeny also had racy scenes in Netflix’s Priscilla.
The star was seen in bed with Jacob Elordi who played the co-lead role of Elvis.
The biopic followed the life of Priscilla Presley from when she met and married the superstar singer.
In the film, Cailee was seen in lingerie and frolicking on the bed.
Josh O’Connor
The Crown star Josh O’Connor thrilled fans when he went full frontal in Mothering Sunday.
The film is based on Graham Swift’s 2016 novel of the same name about three families coping with the loss of their sons during World War I.
In one scene, Josh’s character gets out of bed after being intimate with his co-star and is completely naked in front of the camera.
Speaking about the nudity in the film, director Eva Husson told Variety: “I have a family culture of nudity in the sense that nudity was always something very natural and nothing to be ashamed of.
“And I try to do that in my films, when I can, when it’s relevant. Just because I do think we’re very touching and beautiful as human beings.
“But I think the male gaze has hijacked nudity in the sense that it makes it more than it is in terms of importance in life.
“I think nudity is also about intimacy and how comfortable you are with your own identity.”
Andrew Scott
Andrew Scott was seen acting in steamy sex scenes with Paul Mescal in All Of Us Strangers.
The pair were seen romping on screen, and were hailed by critics for their “chemistry”.
Speaking about this, Paul told Screen Daily: “It’s not a word that actors [use].
“But you must endeavour a little bit to try and fall in love, in whatever that capacity is.
“And Andrew is a very easy person to fall in love with. He’s kind, generous, talented. We shot the film at the perfect junction in our friendship where there was a lot we didn’t know about each other, but there was mutual admiration and respect. And a similar sense of humour.”
Kerry Washington
Kerry Washington was seen romping with Eddie Murphy in the 2012 film, A Thousand Words.
The pair play a married couple, and things get steamy on screen.
However, when Kerry was asked about her sex scene with Eddie, she told Global Grind: “It was absurd. Any time you have to do a scene that has anything to do with anything that is intimate and private and you have to do it publicly, it’s awkward.
“That was my least fun day on set. But it is a funny scene and Eddie tried to make me really comfortable and he kept telling me I looked terrible so I would relax.
“But it’s a funny scene thank goodness. So much of the film is about communication and that scene is so funny because it’s about miscommunication. Wearing that kind of stuff is a total nightmare… and publicly, you know.”
