But Jelly Babies aren’t the only confectionary confusing Brits with their names.

In 2022 one man has realised that he’s been calling Blue Riband bars by the wrong name for YEARS and he wasn’t the only one.

Joe Lewis took to his TikTok page to explain his error, revealing that he’d only noticed the bar’s real name on a big box of biscuits he’d got from Amazon.

“So please tell me I’m not the only person that’s ever noticed this?” he began.

“I’ve just got this big box of biscuits – 71 of them.

“Toffee Crisps, Yorkies, Kit Kats… and Blue Ribands. Blue Riband?

“I am 100% sure that it’s always been Blue Ribbon!”

People in the comments section were quick to have their say on the video, with many admitting they had also thought they were called Blue Ribbon bars.

“Definitely always been blue ribbon,” one wrote.

“Blue ribbon 100%,” another added.

As a third commented: “BLUE RIBBON.

“Always been, I’m 44 and there have ALWAYS been BLUE RIBBON.”

“it’s definitely always been ribbon,” someone else wrote.
