CRISTIANO RONALDO has chosen the venue to marry fiancee Georgina Rodriguez.
Ronaldo, 40, and Georgina, 31, announced their engagement in August following a nine-year relationship.
According to Jornal da Madeira, CR7 has chosen his native Madeira as the location for the wedding, which is expected to take place in the summer after the 2026 World Cup.
And the Al-Nassr superstar has opted for the cathedral of Funchal for the ceremony before holding the reception in a swanky hotel.
The church is the oldest place of worship in the star forward’s hometown and was inaugurated in 1514.
Its roof is made of carved Madeira cedar wood and the place is considered the religious heart of the region thanks to its central location.
The location has a special meaning for the Portugal captain as it is only about 2km away from the hospital where he was born.
And the Manchester United legend’s youth club Nacional da Madeira is also not too far away.
The Real Madrid great spent two years at Nacional before moving to Sporting Lisbon in 1997 at the age of 12.
Ronaldo and Georgina met in 2016 when she was working at a Gucci store in Spain during the five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s time with Real.

They have two children together – Alana, seven, and Bella, three – and formed a family with the ex-Juventus star’s three kids born to two surrogate mothers.
That includes Cristiano Jr, 15, as well as twins Mateo and Eva Maria, both eight.
Georgina went on to build a career as an entrepreneur, model and social media personality.
