Newcastle are sixth in the Champions League standings after four games and are hoping to keep their foot down for a top eight spot.
Next up is a trip to Marseille on Tuesday with the French side currently one spot outside the top 24 which gets a play off spot.
The Magpies arrive in a good mood following Saturday night’s huge win over an in-form Manchester City.
Harvey Barnes’ double was enough to down Pep’s men and they needed it though, as they’re still now only four points clear of the relegation zone.
Their best form has been kept at home though with their ONLY win away from home in all competitions coming in Europe when thumping Union SG 4-0 on their travels.
Marseille are just two points off PSG in the Ligue 1 table after 13 games but have just three points from four games in this competition so far.
Five wins – including a 5-1 victory over Nice on Friday – and one draw from six home league games but they were beaten by Atalanta here in their last home Champions League contest.
Marseille have also failed to win any of their last 12 games against English opposition….
