A battling opening period saw struggling Leeds go in ahead thanks to Lukas Nmecha’s early strike, but a brilliant double from Morgan Rogers condemned them to a fifth defeat in six.

Supporters started to turn shortly after Villa’s equaliser, with loud calls from the South Stand demanding Farke bring on Daniel James and Willy Gnonto before chants of “make a sub”.

Seconds later a man wearing a yellow, white and blue Leeds scarf began making his way out of the West Stand.

He strolled behind Villa boss Unai Emery and through the visitors’ technical area straight towards Farke and his dugout.

The supporter got to within just a few yards of the German coach before stewards eventually spotted him with Leeds security chief Martin Sykes quickly intervening to push him back into the stand and out of the stadium.

Leeds confirmed they are aware of the incident.

SunSport have approached West Yorkshire police for comment.

Farke claimed he knew nothing about it, though he understands the anger towards him after a chorus of jeers greeted the full-time whistle following the 2-1 defeat.

On the incident, he said: “I haven’t seen it to be honest.”

Asked about the boos at the end: “I don’t want one change from our supporters. They should be angry. I feel the same as a Leeds United supporter.”

A pitch invader that shoved Newcastle manager Eddie Howe during an Elland Road match was jailed in 2023 for three months, admitting entering the playing area without excuse and assaulting Howe.

David Derbyshire, 35, from Leeds, was also hit with a six-year ban from all football matches.
