FRANK WARREN reckons the path has been made clear for Anthony Joshua to fight Fabio Wardley or Moses Itauma in a passing of the torch.
All three British heavyweight stars shared the same gym while training under coach Ben Davison.
But AJ has since split with Davison ahead of his shock December 19 fight against Jake Paul where he will be cornered by Oleksandr Usyk’s team.
Wardley and Itauma do still train under Davison – but after Joshua’s exit promoter Warren will jump at the chance to put either in there with AJ.
Warren said in Riyadh: “I would do that fight right now if I could for Fabio.
“Look, the Jake Paul and AJ is a fight that a lot of people will watch and buy into for obvious reasons.
“The appeal that Jake has in the States and the amount of followers he has.
“For me, the fight I’d like to see is one of those guys, whether it be Moses or Fabio fighting. Because I believe that’s the fights that the fans wanna see.
“They’d like to see the young buck in Moses’s fight and they’d like to see the devastating puncher and Fabio in the ring with him, they’re great fights.
“Will we see it? I don’t know, I don’t think so.”

Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua – all the info
A true Christmas miracle!
The world will stand still come December 19 as the face of British boxing Anthony Joshua is all set to go up against social media sensation Jake Paul.
AJ steps in on a month’s notice after Paul’s ‘David vs Goliath’ Gervonta Davis clash was axed due to Tank’s civil suit case.
And Joshua will be desperate not to suffer the same fate as legends Mike Tyson and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr who both lost to YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul.
Particularly as a handsome figure was negotiated to get this Judgement Day deal over the line due to AJ’s DAZN contract.

Joshua, 36, is due to fight next month in Miami for the first time since his September 2024 fifth-round knockout loss to Daniel Dubois, 28.
And Warren thinks the two-time heavyweight champion is so unstable in the ring that even YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul, 28, fancies his chances.
He said: “Look, let’s be realistic, you see his last fight against Daniel Dubois and he got beat quite comprehensively.
“He was on the floor in, I think nearly every round of the fight and eventually was stopped.
“Daniel’s a massive puncher, big puncher and so is Fabio a massive and big puncher. So is Moses, he can whack, you’ve seen that.
“For me, the problem that he’s got AJ is that his punch resistance is not there and he’s not hard to catch.
“Maybe that’s what Jake Paul’s looking at as well, I mean me, I don’t see it but maybe that’s what he feels giving that weight away and so forth, if he clips him he’ll go.”
Wardley, 30, recently celebrated being elevated to WBO champ after Usyk, 38, vacated the belt.
But he faces a heavyweight headache with gym-mate Itauma, 20, next in line for a shot at the belt ahead of his return against Jermaine Franklin, 32.
Warren said: “We’ll see what happens. First of all, it’s a big fight if it were to happen but Moses’ got his hands full 24th of January in Manchester.
For me, the fight I’d like to see is one of those guys, whether it be Moses or Fabio fighting. Because I believe that’s the fights that the fans wanna see.

“He’s meeting a guy who’s had twice the amount of fights that he’s had. He’s had 27 fights, he’s only lost two of them and he’s lost those on the decision.
“He’s never been stopped Jermaine, he’s a very confident guy, he’s got strong background.
“And when you look at his losses, one was against AJ, who’s a two-time world champion and a gold medalist in the Olympic Games, couldn’t stop him and he’s a big puncher.
“I mean anybody in the UK who’s seen him fight, you know he can punch. He couldn’t stop him.
“And his other loss – which was in some people’s eyes a bit of a debatable decision – was against Dillian Whyte, a much younger Dillian Whyte.
“So we’re gonna find out a bit about Moses, we’ll find out a bit about him. Moses’ very confident young man, he’s got so much composure for a 20 year old.
“I’ll be honest, I’ve not seen anything quite like it. Probably the nearest to it was Naseem Hamed when he was young, that sort of big confidence level.
“But it’s gonna be a tough fight, but if he comes through it, then who knows what’s gonna happen?
“Fabio obviously wants to defend his title, Moses wants to fight for a world title, they’ve got the same trainer. It’s a big problem to be sorted out if it were to happen.
“But we’ll see, he’s number one in the WBO, Moses, number one also in the WBA.
“So there are choices and after this fight he may get elevated with the other governing bodies into one spot, I don’t know.”
