THE ASHES is underway as England look to win back the urn after having not won the tournament since 2015.
Ben Stokes will captain his nation as they look to win their first Ashes in ten years.
It would be the first Ashes won in Australia by the Barmy Army in 15 years- their last victory on enemy soil coming in the 2010/11 campaign.
England hosted the last tournament in 2023, but couldn’t capitalise on the home advantage as the two nations settled for a 2-2 draw.

Who are The Ashes 2025 commentators on TNT Sports?
Alastair Eykyn and Rob Hatch are the two main ‘play-by-play’ commentators for The Ashes, as they will be reporting on the action remotely from England.
Both of whom are better recognised for their commentary work on rugby and cycling but have the responsibility of guiding viewers through The Ashes this winter.
Three squad members from the last team to beat Australia on enemy territory 15 years ago will feature as co-commentators.
Among these names are Sir Alastair Cook, Graeme Swann and Steven Finn.
Other supporting commentators include the first black woman to play for England, Ebony Rainford-Brent, and former manager of Australia’s national team, Justin Langer.
When is The Ashes 2025 on for?
The Ashes started on November 21 and runs until January 8 with five tests taking place in that time.
It’s broadcasted live on TNT Sports and Discovery+ as England look to win the urn for the first time in ten years.
To complement the live action, TNT Sports will broadcast highlights throughout the daytime on its linear channels and discovery+.
What is The Ashes 2025 schedule?
The First Test is taking place at the Perth Stadium located in Perth and after starting on Friday, November 21, is set to last until November 25.
This is followed by the Second Test, which is a day/night match that will run from December 4 to December 8 and take place at the Gabba in Brisbane.
The Adelaide Oval will play host to the Third Test, as it takes place from December 17 to December 21.
The penultimate Fourth Test will occur at the MCG in Melbourne from Boxing Day to December 30.
And finally, the Fifth Test will be played in the new year from January 4 to January 8 at the SCG in Sydney.

- Second Test (day/night): Thursday December 4-Monday December 8 (4.30am) – The Gabba, Brisbane
