A MAFS hunk has signed up for a rival dating show after his split, and will come face to face with his Towie ex.
Reiss Boyce split from wife Leisha just weeks after their emotional final vows, with the distance between Essex-based Reiss, 33, and 31-year-old Leisha, who lives in Scotland, proving too much for them.
Now, the MAFS groom is planning to star on Celebrity Ex on the Beach, and is set for an explosive reunion with his Towie ex Dani Imbert in the process.
The Sun can reveal that the pair have signed up for the new series of Celebrity Ex on the Beach.
While the pair briefly reignited their romance this summer after Reiss split from his MAFS bride Leisha, they quickly hit a rough patch again with Reiss claiming Dani abruptly went to Dubai without him, ending the relationship.
But now they are set to come face to face again – and it will all be on camera.
A TV source said: “Both Reiss and Dani will appear on the next series of MTV’s Celeb Ex On The Beach.
“There is a lot of unfinished business between the pair. Neither know that the other one will be on it, although they may have their suspicions.
“Both of them are in lockdown at the moment without their phones ahead of filming starting, so it’s going to be explosive when they have that first meeting with the cameras rolling.
“Who knows whether they will squash their beef, whether sparks will fly again or if they will come away hating each other? One thing is for sure, it will be tv gold for reality fans.”
The Sun has reached out to MTV for comment.
Celebrity Ex on the Beach has been a hugely popular series for MTV, and is a spin off from the original Ex on the Beach show.
It aired for three series from 2020 until last year, and saw famous faces like Joey Essex, Calum Best, Paige Turley and Yazmin Oukhellou come face to face with one of their exes.
In September, the Sun exclusively revealed the show is making a comeback.
This week, Reiss spoke to the The Sun about his split from Leisha.
He said it wasn’t just being at different ends of the country that ended the romance.
Reiss opened up about off screen moments that led to the break-up, and said: “What pushed me away was the drama.”
Throughout the series, Leisha made her feelings clear for Reiss – and even said she loved him.
While he was moving at a slower pace, Reiss appeared determined to give their relationship a go when he committed to her at the final ceremony.
DRAMA AND JEALOUSY
Fans couldn’t work out why Reiss was holding back in the early stages of their marriage, but he said: “There were certain things that happened off camera that were too dramatic for me.
“I was sitting with Leisha one night and she said to me, ‘Did you go on holiday earlier in the year or last year?’ I said, ‘I went to Marbella with a few of my mates’.
“She said, ‘Oh…’ and I said, ‘What’s the matter?’ She said, ‘I don’t like boys who go to Marbella’.
“She got a bit funny with me and I said, ‘Are you actually getting the hump about me going on holiday before I even knew you?’ She was p***** off. It was that kind of stuff that was pushing me away.”
And Reiss claims Leisha showed her jealous side on one occasion when someone appeared to compliment his looks.
He said: “One of the female producers on MAFS said to me, ‘Your hair is getting long, are you going to have a hair cut or keep it long?’
“It was coming towards the end of the experiment – I was with Leisha at the time – and I said, ‘I don’t know yet’.
“When me and Leisha walked away, she was fuming. I said, ‘What’s the matter?’ She said, ‘You better get a haircut now’. I was like, ‘What do you mean?’ I’m guessing it was because the woman said she liked my hair long.”
For Reiss, there’s an emotional reason for wanting a life with as little drama as possible.
He said: “After the experiment, Leisha was coming to Essex and we were having arguments, I was going to Scotland and we were having arguments.
“I realised it’s not what I wanted. I want a relationship where you’re each other’s biggest supporter.
“Growing up, my mum and dad were always at each other’s throats and I believe that’s why I can’t stand drama. It affects my energy.”
