MARTIN Kemp wants to be crowned king of the I’m A Celeb jungle – to have bragging rights over son Roman.
The Spandau Ballet bassist’s lad came third on the 2019 series.
And Martin, 64, wants to get the crown to tease Sky Sports presenter Roman, 32.
Martin said: “He’ll never live it down. I might get a poster made or something like that.
“He was the first person I asked. I said to him, ‘They’ve asked me to do this, what do you think?’
“He said, ‘You will have the time of your life’.
“He said to me it’s the best thing that he ever did, and he also said, ‘Me thinking about you going in is making me jealous’.”
Former EastEnders actor Martin fears Roman will be using his social media following to vote for him to do grim Bushtucker Trials.
He added: “I don’t think it’s the public that are going to target me, I think Roman is going to bring all his followers to target me.”
Last month, Roman revealed that Martin had been taken to hospital after injuring himself in a chainsaw accident.
Martin says he had a lucky escape in the incident.
He said: “I was taking the scabbard off. It was electric and it came to life.
“I went to hospital, but it was really for an injection and to make sure everything was all right. They wrapped it up and it was fine.
“It was about three weeks ago now. It’s all healed up.
“It’s pretty amazing how skin heals like that.
“It was my own fault. But when you do something like that, you learn a lesson.
“It was one that I got away with. I’ve still got my finger, so it’s all good.”
Martin is excited to head into the Australian camp – and says the ITV show is something he has always wanted to do.
He also has the support of former Wham! backing singer wife Shirlie Holliman, 63.
Joking about the famous shower scenes, he said: “Hopefully at one point I will get a shower, but I’m not sure I’m going to do a Myleene Klass!
“I’m not going to avoid the shower, let’s put it that way.”
He added: “What I really don’t want to do is go in there with this false personality that I’m not.
“I’ve never done that in my life and I won’t be doing it over the next month.”
