Fears grow for missing woman who has not been seen for four days after disappearing from village

Police have launched a search operation for a woman who went missing four days ago as fears grow over her safety.

The woman, Kelly, was reported missing from the Witcombe area, near Gloucester, on Friday afternoon and was last seen on Wednesday.

Police launched an appeal on Friday, issuing a picture of her and describing her as white, 5ft 6in tall and of medium build.

She has mousey brown shoulder length hair which may be worn in a ponytail, the force added. 

Kelly could be in the Coopers Hill, Cranham or Birdlip areas and police have urged the public to help locate her.

No further information has been released into the circumstances of her disappearance.

In a statement, Gloucestershire Constabulary said: ‘Police are appealing for information to help locate a woman who has been reported missing from the Witcombe area.

‘Kelly, who was reported missing earlier this afternoon (Friday 14 November), has not been seen since Wednesday (12 November).

‘She is described as being white, 5ft 6ins in height, of a medium build and has mousey brown shoulder length hair which may be worn in a ponytail.

‘She may be in the Coopers Hill, Cranham or Birdlip areas.

‘Anyone who has seen Kelly or knows of her whereabouts is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident 209 of 14 November. Dial 999 if you can see her at the time of calling.

‘You can also give information through the Missing People charity on 116 000 or you can find out more information through the charity’s website.’
