LUKE LITTLER wiped out Wessel Nijman to stay on course to become World No1.
The teen sensation demolished the Dutchman 10-4 in the Grand Slam in Wolverhampton on Thursday.
It means that defending champ Littler, 18, has reached the last eight on Saturday to face Josh Rock
And he is now just three matches from overtaking Luke Humphries at the top of the rankings to become the top darts star on the planet.
Littler is now unbeaten in the Grand Slam with ELEVEN successive wins in two years.
He said: “Through the group I didn’t play the best darts but I got all three results.
“But now we have the longer format and a lot of people are talking about how well I play.
“I know myself how well I play over a longer format. We saw it in the Matchplay when I was trailing.”
Littler was in a mean mood as he raced into a 5-0 lead at the first break.
Nijman fought back briefly but ‘The Nuke’ soon took a grip again to lead 8-3 and never looked back.

Littler now admits he’s got his eyes on the title.
He added: “I just want to win as quick as possible. Wessel and I have had our battles on the ProTour.
