MARRIED At First Sight fans have hit out at bride Sarah for “leading” Dean on after their dates after the E4 show.
Throughout the process, Sarah admitted that Dean wasn’t her type and shocked viewers when she fat-shamed her husband.
The pair ended up leaving the experiment as Sarah failed to develop a romantic connection with her partner.
But since leaving the show, The Sun revealed that Dean and Sarah had been spotted on dates in Scotland together.
On tonight’s reunion, Sarah told Rebecca and Bailey: “Me and Dean have been in regular touch.
“He came up to Aberdeen and we went to the darts and played golf with my dad.
“We had a great weekend, it was really really good.
“We had quite a few drinks and he did say to me that ‘I’ve still got feelings for you’.
“I was a bit like ‘it’s purely friend vibe’, I’ve never intended on [leading him on], this weekend was just got friends.”
“When there’s feelings on the line I’ll take a little step back,” Sarah added.
The experts admitted the trip to Scotland had clearly “muddied the waters” between romance and friendship.
Dean then arrived at the reunion with fake tattoos on his neck.
Speaking to the camera, Dean said: “Seeing Sarah again, I have got little butterflies, I can feel what I was feeling before.”
Dean admitted he rocked up to the reunion with the inking to impress Sarah, who openly said she liked a tattooed man.
But Sarah once again confirmed that she didn’t fancy him, saying: “Even the neck tattoos won’t do it for me, sorry.”
MAFS fans have hit out at Sarah for continuing to toy with Dean’s feelings.
One wrote: “Dean needs to get it in his head Sarah will never fancy him and she needs to stop leading him on.”
A second said: “Sarah needs to let Dean go, he is never gonna not have feelings for her & he’s probably thinking he’s still in with a chance.”
A third added: “Alright Dean enough of this Sarah obsession already! She’s not interested.”
The Sun was first to report how the duo were seen enjoying a drink in a pub, looking “happy yet awkward.”
It came after Sarah and Dean‘s doomed marriage ended on-screen on Married At First Sight after weeks of fat-shaming comments and Ofcom complaints.
Their exit scenes – which saw them ultimately call time on the matchmaking show experiment – aired on E4 earlier last month.
Now the pair, who became intimate on the series despite their difficulties, have revealed their bond is stronger than ever.
In a series of images posted to Instagram, Dean captured a selfie showing them smiling as they posed in purple outfits.
They then headed to the golf course together before dressing up in baby outfits.
In his caption, he wrote: “With all the home visits, I thought I’d pop up to Aberdeen. Play some golf, watch some darts (in fancy dress) & see Sarah!”
She was quick to reply in the comments section and put: What a fun weekend we had.”
Dean then gushed: “So much fun!”
DINNER DATE
Sarah and Dean were spotted together recently, much to the surprise of show fans, as they headed to the bar at a pub in London’s Charing Cross.
The Sun can exclusively share the photos of the two former reality stars, who looked friendly and content as they dined out together.
The onlooker who snapped the photographs told The Sun: “I was very shocked when I saw them together.
“I recognised Dean’s voice and then looked over, they were just about to leave when we sat down.”
The onlooker continued: “Dean was standing there on his phone and then Sarah got up and they left together, Sarah with a suitcase.
“Dean looks like he’s been looking after himself, had a big smile on his face like he always does.
“Sarah seemed the same as she was on the show.”
ON SCREEN
Before their MAFS exit, Sarah and Dean’s marriage was plagued with issues.
After their wedding day Sarah struggled to form an attraction to Dean.
He asked her if she’d ever been with someone “overweight” and she said “no, never”.
Asked if there was anything he could do to change that, she said: “Get some tattoos and lose some weight.”
Dean took it on the chin, but revealed in a candid confessional that he’d never been the “boyfriend” and was always the “best friend”.
Sarah was accused by viewers of fat shaming him, and was called out for her “cruel” behaviour.
She also begged him to stop rapping and was irritated by his optimistic outlook on life in comments which saw her branded the show’s “biggest villain ever.”
