A Place In The Sun star Jasmine Harman faced a medical emergency after her husband suffered a heart attack on the set of their new property show in Spain.
The presenter and her husband Jon Boast are currently filming spin-off series Jasmine’s Renovations In The Sun at their family home in Spanish tourist hub Estepona, on the Costa del Sol.
But paramedics were called after Jon, 46, suffered persistent chest pains as they worked with builders at the property.
In scenes that aired on Tuesday evening, a stunned Jasmine, 50, recalled the moment he fell ill as they waited for the results of a chest examination.
‘So, we’re at the hospital now,’ she told viewers. ‘Jon had a funny turn at home and I had to call an ambulance, but he’s sleeping now, having a little rest.
‘Hopefully it’s nothing serious, but we’re just waiting for some test results.’

The couple suffered heartbreak in 2016 when Jon’s sister Jo died suddenly at the age of 40 from sudden arrhythmic death syndrome – an abrupt and unexpected death, caused by cardiac arrest.
In 2024, Jasmine’s close friend Jonnie Irwin – with whom she worked on A Place In The Sun – also died, aged 50, after a long battle with cancer.
She added: ‘I thought it could be a heart attack, and obviously what happened with Jon’s sister ran through my head.
‘I could see that Jon was thinking about that as well, which was what made me want to get the ambulance there as quickly as possible.’
Addressing Channel 4 viewers from his hospital bed, Jon later confirmed that he had suffered a heart attack while working on his Spanish home.
He said: ‘Just when we thought we were getting back to normal life, or as normal as life could be, mid-renovation, and I was getting back on my feet.
‘This afternoon when we were with one of the builders I got sort of pains in my chest and tight chested, aching arms.
‘We called an ambulance and now I’m in hospital, and the blood test results suggest that I’ve had a mild heart attack.’

The new show follows the family step by step as they travel to Southern Spain to buy and renovate the rundown 1980s villa they now live in.
But Jasmine – who relocated to Spain with Jon and their two children, Albion and Joy, last year – has admitted the ‘rollercoaster’ new Channel 4 show placed a ‘strain’ on her marriage.
‘You would not believe the amount of strain my husband gave me during the renovation and filming process,’ she told Loose Women in October.
‘We moved to Spain and never had the intention of doing a renovation project. It ended up being like a real-life episode of A Place In The Sun.

The whole process has been filmed as part of a new show, Jasmine’s Renovation in the Sun, which is set to air next month
‘We couldn’t agree on any of the properties we saw. In the end, we saw this place and sort of looked at each other like, “Are we actually going to do this?” And we knew that it was a means to an end, a stepping stone to a life that we wanted.
‘We were super lucky. We had such fantastic teams of people doing different trades and everything kind of fell into place.’
She added: ‘That’s not to say that we didn’t have our fair share of ups and downs.
‘Pretty much everything that you could think of going wrong went wrong, plus a few extra dramatic things that happened, just to add to the rollercoaster that is renovating a house overseas.’
