A FOOTBALL League Trophy match between Stockport County and Wigan Athletic has been suspended due to massive rainfall.
The two League one sides were locked in a 1-1 stalemate as the rain poured down at Stockport’s Edgeley Park.

But as the rain hammered down it became increasingly clear that the pitch was no longer in a playable condition.
Referee Scott Oldham eventually deemed the field too far gone and called for a 15-minute suspension of the match.
