CHRISTMAS Eve boxes are a lovely tradition each year and one mum has proved you don’t have to break the bank to treat the kids.

The small gifts are given the night before Christmas and are usually filled with items such as toys or pyjamas.

But on top of buying Christmas presents for family, adding the cost of a Christmas Eve box can be a lot for people to manage financially.

One savvy mum shared her bargain hack to make a jam-packed Christmas box for no more than £10.

Known as The IVF Mum, she took to TikTok to show off her haul from Home Bargains.

“You don’t have to spend a fortune to make it magic. You don’t have to spend at all, but if you’re on a budget then how good is this,” the mum captioned the post.

Her video began with the fundamental part of the tradition, the Christmas Eve box itself.

There are a range to choose from at Home Bargains currently, including the super cute Santa’s Workshop-themed tin for just £3.99.

After choosing the box, the mum filled it with lots of food items including Santa lollies and Christmas biscuits shaped like elves for around 99p each.

She added the perfect gift to keep kids entertained — a 99p colour your own Christmas stocking, complete with coloured markers.

One other adorable addition to her budget box was the Sleigh Bells Christmas board with painted pictures to place treats on for Santa when he comes to deliver presents.

The board is only 99p and can be kept for future Christmas Eves.

Another cute gift the mum found was the 99p Christmas tumbler complete with lid and twirly straw.

The beverage holder comes in green or red colours.

Finally the mum kitted out the box with some reindeer dust which helps bring shimmer to the winter holidays.

The 99p gift comes beautifully packaged in a clear jar and red ribbon tied around the lid.
