SHE’D just wanted to have a cute pamper evening with her friends.
But Ellie’s daughter was left regretting her decision after her face ended up being dyed pink.
The 11-year-old and her pal had been enjoying playing with the skincare at a girls’ night, when they decided to give a Raspberry Zest face mask a try.
The small pot – which had come as part of a set from Home Bargains for £3.99 – was filled with bright pink coloured cream, which the girls applied with a brush.
However, things didn’t go to plan, as Ellie explained in a video on her TikTok page.
“When the kids decide to have a pamper night and use the raspberry zest face mask from Home Bargains,” she said.

The video then showed Ellie’s daughter, with her face looking noticeably pink.
Her friend was seen trying to scrub off the colour with a face wipe, but exclaimed that “it’s not coming off”.
“Do not use this face mask from Home Bargains,” Ellie wrote over the top of her video.
And she added in the comments: “When you let the kids have a pamper and they end up dyed for a while!”
In the comments, Ellie dismissed someone questioning if her daughter’s skin had reacted to the face mask, as she said: “It was definitely the face mask as the other two girls were the same!”
She added that it “took a good 24 hours to fully come off”.
In response to someone else, Ellie said she’s sent Home Bargains an email, but has yet to hear back.
People in the comments quickly thanked her for sharing the video, as one wrote: “I got my girls this for Christmas.
“Safe to say I’m returning it!”
“Ohh noo!! I’ve brought all my girls this from Home Bargains for Christmas!” another added.
“I knew what was coming but still gasped when she turned around,” a third said.
“I found this exact one in my daughter’s set and used it,” someone else commented.
What kind of skincare routine IS suitable for a child?

For kids, skincare is simple, all it needs is a gentle cleanse where I’d recommend something like Byoma Creamy Jelly Cleanser, £9.99, and a soft flannel, muslin cloth or sponge is handy for that hard-to-budge dried ketchup.
If your child is experimenting with make-up, then a micellar water like Simple Micellar Cleansing Water, £2.50, is the quickest and easiest way to remove colour cosmetics.
Then a PH balanced, fragrance free moisturiser like CeraVe Moisturising Cream, £5, is a nice part of a bed-time routine and can often help them wind down as well as help keep their skin hydrated.
If your child suffers from eczema or dry skin, CeraVe is a great brand to use, as is Aveeno. They’re both gentle and nourishing, so won’t dry out skin or cause irritation, but stick to a moisturiser and cleanser to avoid overcomplicating things.
An SPF is great, especially during the summer, and Garnier Ambre Solaire Ultra-Light Sensitive Face Fluid SPF50+, £12, will work for the full family as it’s not greasy and sits well under make-up.
