THIS is the terrifying moment a group of young men began attacking each other with machetes in a street outside a prison.
The shocking incident took place outside HMP Birmingham in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Two hooded young men appear to confront another man in a gilet and tracksuit bottoms – all of them wield knives.
In horrific footage filmed by a passerby and posted to social media, two of the men wildly swing huge blades at each other in the street.
The other appears to wield a smaller blade while keeping his distance as the two others jockey back and forth trying to slash the other.
At the end of the footage, the man in the gilet appears to back away.
One source told MailOnline: “It is utterly brazen to do this right outside a prison. It shows how these youths have no concern or worry about being caught.
“It is truly disturbing and shocking.”
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We were called to Winson Green Road shortly before 11pm last night to a report of men fighting.
“Officers attended and searched the area, but no suspects were identified.
“Anyone with further information can call 101 quoting log 4978 of 8 November.”
It’s not the only incident of violence in Birmingham recently either following a horror stabbing on Friday.
A woman was stabbed in the neck in the city centre on Friday and is fighting for her life.
Emergency crews rushed to the scene outside the Bullring shopping centre, shortly before 9pm.
A woman, in her 30s, was rushed to hospital with a “serious neck injury” where she remains in a critical condition.
West Midlands Police said they believed it was an “unprovoked attack”.
The force charged Djeison Rafael, 21, with attempted murder on Saturday after he was arrested following the incident in Smallbrook Queensway.
The Black British national, has also been charged with two further assaults and possession of a blade.
He has been remanded to appear before magistrates in Birmingham on Monday, November 10.
Several forensic tents were erected close to a bus stop near the scene.
Two silver tents and a large blue evidential tent could be seen on the pavement as the road was cordoned off.
In another dark story, two 17-year-old boys were stabbed outside a Primark store within the space of a week in October.
