THE UK’s new Victims’ Commissioner has vowed to push for bold reforms — drawing on her own terrifying stalking hell.

Claire Waxman has endured 22 years of harassment from a man she met in sixth form college.

She will push for a victims’ hub where people can access information from the police, CPS and courts in one place.

Ms Waxman told The Sun on Sunday she wants no one to go through the same stilted, confusing process that she did.

She was not taken seriously when she first reported ex-TV producer Elliot Fogel, 50 — whose actions included googling her name more than 40,000 times in a year and posing as a potential parent at her child’s nursery.

He has since been convicted of stalking and harassment, spent time in prison, and repeatedly broken court orders.

Ms Waxman’s key goal is to introduce a care hub so victims have a single point of contact for the police, CPS, and courts.

Ahead of taking up her new role, the current London Victims’ Commissioner said: “I’ll be pushing for bold reforms of the way we support victims in our criminal justice system.

“When they report, they should get the information on their rights and entitlements.

“That information is crucial because victims need to understand the journey ahead, they need to feel empowered.

“Years ago, it was very difficult. The doors were closed.

“The doors are very much open now.”
