Dad-of-one John McLintock, 37, of Cricklewood, North London, denied burglary at Willesden magistrates’ court via video-link from a police station.
He and another man allegedly used a ladder to smash through a balcony window at around 3.30pm.
Prosecutor Edward Aydin said: “This has striking similarities to the recent Louvre-style heist.
“They smashed windows open after using a ladder.”
McLintock was remanded in custody to appear at Bournemouth crown court next month.
